How is he going to win against all the GOP "donors" who are either sitting on their hands or backing Clinton because they don't think he'll deliver a return on their investment?
>>
>>73302488

>Top GOP officials are warming to the party's presumptive nominee, but the donor class remains unconvinced he will provide a "return on investment"

>In interviews with more than a dozen major GOP funders, not one on Wednesday would commit to donating to Trump.

>Representatives of Charles and David Koch, the billionaire industrialists who helped to bankroll the rise of the tea party, warned the brothers could back Hillary Clinton.

>Saying amid the GOP primaries that it’s “possible” he could support Hillary was a Kochian shot across the bow of the manic Republicans.

>Exclusive: Koch-Soros Insiders Attempt to Take Over Trump Campaign

>Establishment in last ditch effort to co-opt New York billionaire

>Yesterday it was revealed that Steven Mnuchin would become the Trump campaign’s national finance chair. Mnuchin was an Investment Professional with Soros Fund Management LLC and spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs. He also has innumerable other affiliations with establishment financial institutions and corporations.

>A press release was posted on the official Trump campaign website today confirming that appointment.

>Questions are swirling as to whether the move was engineered by Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who himself has close ties with and has worked for the Koch brothers, having overseen the New Hampshire chapter of Americans for Prosperity, the advocacy group founded by the Koch brothers.

>Charles and David have succeeded in rallying hundreds of other wealthy conservative families to support their strategic political operation. For years, many wealthy donors — including husbands with their wives — have gathered at swank resorts for the twice-a-year Koch seminars, where they listen to presentations about conservative politics and ideas and pledge funds.

>Available data, which we have pulled together, indicates that these meetings have grown from about 17 participants in 2003 to around 500 in early 2016. Regular attendees must now pay annual dues and shell out contributions in Koch-approved directions amounting to at least $100,000 per year.

>donors standing up to make pledges in increments of $5 million. According to estimates from journalists and tax records from the Koch operation itself, the seminars went from raising just shy of $100 million in 2008 to just under $300 million in 2014

>Koch organizations control resources too many Republican politicians need and want — and, by now, large numbers of GOP operatives are themselves alumni or close associates of the Koch network.

>There is only one likely way the clout of the Koch network could suddenly dwindle: if the GOP itself goes into a tailspin or breaks apart. The emergence of loose cannon Donald Trump as the leading contender in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries suggests the sort of disruption that can weaken the GOP host on which the Koch operation feeds.

Not just the brothers or the other orgs, but all these families.

They're afraid of what his image will do to the party, not whether or not he'll back the financial elites. These guys aren't idiots, they see Trump's ideological stock is about to tank in the general election and don't wanna be remembered as the guys who invested in that shit. All the guys jumping on Trump's dick now are going to be shit out of luck when he loses and they're forever known for supporting him.

It appears as though the cover sheet doesn't even have a watermark despite trying to look nice by being printed on ugly, ill-sized paper.

Salon and other sites that spread propaganda for them are writing all sorts of fanciful articles about this, claiming the Kochs have a deeply-felt ideological beliefs instead of simply being rapacious Jurassic Park creatures who will literally chew up anything and anyone in order to get more money.

They don't want people to see their people behind the curtain helping the Koch machine so they want to portray their network as being wholly right-wing in terms of ideology.

The only true ideology in politics is follow the money.

>Their message to Republicans: She represents your values better than Trump.

>Hillary Clinton’s supporters in recent days have been making a furious round of calls to top Bush family donors to try to convince them that she represents their values better than Donald Trump, multiple sources in both parties told us.

>Top targets for the Clinton team include people like Woody Johnson, Jeb Bush’s former finance chair and the owner of the New York Jets.

>One person close to Clinton said supporters of the former secretary of state drew up a list of Wall Street donors who supported Jeb Bush and other unsuccessful Republican candidates months ago.

>Clinton spokesman Josh Schwerin did not deny the calls were happening.

>One big Clinton donor on Wall Street said that Bush donors are prime targets and that "we're a big tent."

Most people are apolitical anyway, if they start taking interest and vote, it's mostly extremly superficial and going along with trends. And tbqh it does mean a lot more for your life to what income class you belong than what party you vote for. Especially in the USA. If you really want to understand how corrupt the Democratic and Republican Party are, just look at how the RNC is now directly campaigning for Hillary.

These people are so corrupt, so purchased by corporations, so influenced by lobbyists, and so dismissive of the American people, that they'd rather support someone who is just as corrupt as them (Hillary) than risk electing someone who won't pull the establishment strings and be bought by the same people. Jeb Bush took over a hundred million dollars from people who bought him for this election. Paul Ryan is likewise owned by lobbyists and insiders. Lindsey Graham owes the people who have been shelling money to him for years. Mitt Romney needs to pay people back for all the debt he racked up with them with his failed bids.

These people are not mad at Trump for his stances (wouldn't that just mean they are mad at their voters?). They are mad because he doesn't owe their owners a hundred million dollars.

Both parties are like this. And here's a special clue: the Democratic Party would be doing the exact same thing to Bernie Sanders if he secured the DNC nomination.

It's time we clean house with all of them. Both parties. Everyone who owes the lobbyists and corporations favors and promises. Our politicians are bought and don't want anyone who isn't also bought to have any possibilities.

Audit the Fed. End Citizen's United. Corporations are not people. Get Lobbyists out of Washington. TERM LIMITS for Congress.

It is in the republican party's interests to fund the campaign of whoever their nominee is, whether or not he is likely to win.

For example campaigns against incumbent presidents are always more likely to lose than succeed.

But the reason you need to fund challengers who are more likely than not to lose is because if you don't and you let your party's nominee go out and get thrashed, get beaten to an embarrassing extent with no funding, then it will make your party as a whole look weak and lose status and people will be less likely to vote for you next election.
