I love the US because of the cultural similarities, respect for individual liberty etc. I would prefer to be ruled by the US than Russia.
However, I think the current American administration is foolish in foreign policy terms, and following it blindly is not in the UK's interest.
As for why western governments are invariably anti-Russian? I'd say it's mostly due to Germany controlling the EU, and Germany wants to expand eastwards (see: Ukraine). Historical animosity also plays a role (such as in Poland, which I don't think anyone can hold against them.) As for the US, I don't actually understand that - it seems to be a cold-war holdover - I see no other logic why the US thinks Russia is a threat.
I'm also fairly certain you're Russian, maybe you're on holiday, or perhaps it's a proxy.

I think Russia are awesome and vastly prefer them to the hostile and war-mongering US.
