Should we ban organized religion?
>>
Most religions are different
There can only be one truth about the creation of our world
Therefore, most religions are fake

>Most religions are different

All are anti-science, all are made up, all are wrong.

yes. Christians need to know they are dying out but muslims are growing. christcucks need to take one for the team so islam can be banned.

Every religion on earth has been created by humans. How can one religion be right, and every other religion be wrong? And I'm talking about prehistoric religions as well.

>>
>>73053388
No. If anything this election shows that evangelicals are turning against this whole theocracy deal. Indiana was supposed to be Cruz's and he damn lost it. So people don't really think America is a Christian nation in the sense that it belongs to them, but that its principles promote the liberty that allow it to flourish.

Religion is almost exclusively organized, if not you're just talking about faith or creed, and religion is more than that. If organized religion was banned, the free assembly of people for any reason would be under attack and we would be under the thumb of the government.

Furthermore, it would erode our sense of community in the religions that have molded dominant culture in the US and allow globalists to attack as further. For better or worse or whether you believe in Christianity for example, unraveling it would have dire consequences for this country.

Absolutely not. The biggest contribution that organized religions have brought was the abolishment of superstitions and cults. Those were disorganized, chaotic and morally unpretictable. They divided the people and often drove them to start violent acts based on their teachings for literally no reason.
Dumb people will always need this shit, so it was better to take control of this phenomena and propagate religions that benefitted the ruling class and society in general the most. Most historians agree that it was a step forward in both biological and societal human evolution
If organized religions were abolished, these nuts would start worshiping horoscope, new age horeshit and pray to hundreds of different deities. The recent popularity drop of christianity in the west is proof of how these smaller religions can take the place of the big ones.
People like that really do need to be taken care of like cattle and be forced into religions. Even the fucking insane islam is doing a good job at this. Religion is a necessary evil.

I'd rather remove their tax-exempt status across the board. Milk that cow for a few tens of billions for a while.

Eventually consider banning if they don't shape the fuck up.

Also, jail sentences for child molestation, corruption, involvement in politics and election tampering. Plus full liability for all deaths and damages for various faith-based medicine and other similar brainwashing.

Trying to ban them makes them into martyrs. That's exactly what they want.

Much better to discredit with facts and bring everything under the jurisdiction of all secular law, removing all special exemptions.

It's much, much harder to play martyr if your so-called "martyrdom" is merely being treated on a level playing field with every other citizen ad business.

This, I don't understand why they get any special treatment in the form of not having to pay taxes. Plus we can stick it to those Scientology faggots as well. The whole religion is practically ran by wealthy celebrities, we'll get millions from them.

I'd rather ban Atheism. Atheism encourages degeneracy and is a Juden construct. Even the ancients believe in some kind of organized and older forms of religion like animism, ancestor worship, and so on.

A person who doesn't believe in anything is not a person at all. It's an automaton with no sense of purpose--just live and wait for death. And on your way to oblivion, you become degenerate that affects everyone else.

I'd rather purge your kind to save the rest from degeneracy.

I'm an American first, and an atheist second.
As an American citizen, it is my duty to protect the constitution from all threats, foreign and domestic.
The constitution has already established a secular approach, and the only way your religion can fall outside of protection under the constitution is if it impedes you from fulfilling your agreement to protect it as a citizen.

Warning: refusal to acknowledge your freedom can be hazardous to your health.
>>
>>73056977 (cont.)
By the way, since Islam forbids its followers to adhere to laws that aren't in strict accordance with Islamic Law, Islam is one of those religions that prevents you from fulfilling your agreement as an American citizen, so "Muslim-American" is inherently self-contradictory, and the Constitution cannot be called upon to protect your religious freedom either.

> "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. I believe we need it. Not for the meme skydaddy part but for the culture. We need something unmovable willing to pass down values for generations and to give a common moral ground for the people. It's required to ensure your kids can leave in a similar society with a similar piece of mind as the one you grew up in. Only a kind of religion or church as did the roman church can do that. The governments can't. But I'm not all happy with the current church since it's far from unmovable so...

They only infiltrate government because they can possess parts of office that don't require votes.

As for the actual elected offices, an elected official should plan a rigid charter, and when they break the charter, there should be a national vote yet again. This may sound like a hassle, but the internet has made it possible for people to interact with government this way without disrupting day to day life.

Most atheist have a hate boner for Christianity because it was forced on this as kid so they had to deal with that shit or they bought into it 100% to an extreme then finally found out the truth themselves. Rarely do you see atheists out right attack Judaism out of fear of being called an antisemitic, never Buddhism because they never bother anyone, Hinduism, new age garbage. It's mostly Christianity they go after in public and Islam when alone or when they have back up. I'm no fan of Christianity, I find Christian zealots disturbing, but the amount of vitrol and antagonizing many atheist take part in doesn't help detour others from organized religion. Especially those already brainwashed. I find them just as insufferable as people like Lying Ted or Little Macro who wax poetically or use it as a moral base for their politics.

>Besides, there are plenty of muslims in the US armed forces who serve their country.
Irrelevant. If the choice came down to whether they had to protect the constitution, or obey Islam, which do you think will take priority?

As it happens, you're right.
The constitution is pretty much void at this point, since we're literally flooded with morons who don't understand how their own citizenship works.

As such, it's a meme gesture that we even keep pretending to honor it as a country, and the American Experiment failed, due to the inability of the American "citizen" to acknowledge their own inherent freedom.
>>
>>73058806
Atheists are disproportionately are Jews though

That one guy in California who keeps trying to get "under God" removed from the constitution is an atheist Jew

Reminder that to convert to judaism you need to denounce christ, that the talmud teaches that jesus is burning in a pot of his own feces in hell and that the word "kike" comes from the yiddish word kikel which means circle because jews who immigrated through ellis island who were illiterate refused to put an X for their signature and instead put a circle because they hated the cross so much

You still can't take away the rights of 3 million people based on a book they read and follow to varying degrees. I'm sure you could find something in the Bible, or Das Kapital, or Mein Kampf that says not to obey bad laws.
Do you take away the rights of everyone who reads those books?

The Bible Christians to obey the law of the land, in both the Old and New Testaments, and the other examples aren't religions, but if they were they would render their agreement to protect the constitution void also.

Not that it matters anymore, see:

>Should we ban organized religion?
No. I don't think we should. The better idea is to tax the shit out of religious institutions until they're forced back into smaller buildings. After that, increase taxes slowly until they're forced to do their business outside. The vast majority of these people aren't capable of staying out in the hot summer sun/winter cold for long periods of time, so they'll move back into their homes and have smaller congregations.

Once that starts to happen, start charging for licenses to congregate in homes, and force people to pay for them each year. Then gradually decrease the time it takes for the license to expire, while increasing the fees required to renew or purchase a new license. Anyone caught congregating in their homes without a license is punished with absurd fees or jail time (later, make it both).

Make sure this is for every religion, no matter what religion it is or what kind of backlash it causes, stick to your guns. If they want to preach, they gotta pay. Making sure this is a subtle change is the most important part, because without subtle change, there'll be a bigger backlash/kneejerk reaction.

After a generation or two, we'll have successfully snuffed out religion.

In most cases Christians have birth rates that go slightly above the 2.1 replacement lvl

The church tries to be to modern with their pro gay and refurgies welcome attitude, to appeal to the masses. But back in the days when we went to church every sunday we tried to keep muslims out.

Atheists vote Democrat 7 out of 10 times. For Christians its the other way around.

This correlation is cited whenever it's necessary to imply causation, in either direction, but nobody makes up their mind which direction it is.
It's a pretty important question though, since we're practically being asked to assume a one-size-fits-all generalization as the premise of your argument.

Do atheists become degenerates because they're atheists, or do degenerates become atheists because they're degenerates?

Make up my mind, so I can figure out why I'm an atheist but I'm not a degenerate.
>>
>>73060706
I'm an atheist, and you are wasting your life. I live happily, surely happily, because I build and create new things. I get to have an ego because I have earned everything around me from hard work.

I'm going to live longer than you, and I will be living in a mild state of euphoria through all of it, while you destroy your mind and body to to half of the same thing.

No one is jealous of you, which is why we don't become like you. We, are what we are because we believe in hard work, and it is a lot easier to be a moron picking up sluts and buying drugs than it is to work hard.

I'm not living soft core, I am living as best as I can.

Doesn't that lend a degree of validity to the argument that religion is a tool of social manipulation, in a desperate attempt to justify "stop liking what I don't like" with a knowingly falsified moral authority?

>There can only be one truth about the creation of our world

The best religions are hardly religions at all. They're focused around ideologies. Coincidentally, these are the same ideologies that psychologists have decided to study and which those who do psychedelics can not shut up about. It seems just about anyone can understand that feeling of "oneness", or to live in the moment, that feeling of putting one's mind down and taking everything in, and the feeling of listening to one's own thoughts without judgement and questioning ones' self. All these religions do is tell you how to control it better and how to live your life by this.

Why need religion in the first place? We all live by ideologies, what we're lacking is what religion seems to give a lot of people. Philosophies to live by that seem true to you. Well, maybe people should incorporate psychology, philosophy, and Taoist/Buddhist beliefs into the most redpilled "religion" in existence. It teaches you to truly control ones' self while allowing your mind to be open about the questions of the world. You don't need to fill that void with a God. We can just leave it open. This would also allow science to coexist happily with it.

Thoughts?

After all, people are selective about their beliefs as it is. The fuck are we kidding ourselves by saying we're consistent in them in the first place. I hardly believe some people when they say they're Christian anymore.

No.
People have a consitutional right to their religion.
And even if religion weren't specified as a constitutional right, the people still have the freedom of thought, the freedom of speech, and the freedom of assembly.
You can't ban religion without affecting those rights.
If some guy wants to think and say that an invisible wizard exists, he can do that. And he can spend his time with other people who believe in the wizard. And you can't ban that.
You can only stop them from turning certain religious aspects (like homophobia and racism) into laws. But they still can believe and talk about it. It's their right.

I sometimes imagine Catholic priests getting a hardon listening to the adventures of his congregation in his little booth.

How many times a year do you suspect on average that they get the opportunity to hear a story of cuckoldry?

In some form or another, but it doesn't mean that Christianity was a majority. Celtic Christianity was also very different than modern Christianity also. Druids were still around in Ireland until the 9th century according to contemporary sources, and the last victory attributed to a pagan goddess was in the 11th century. Spanish and Italian visitors to Ireland in the early modern era wrote about the general paganism in Ireland still present in their time. Rural Scotland, especially Skye and the Outer Hebrides was much the same way, with the last Pagans converted in the 19th century.

Christianity is globalism and all mainstream Christian churches are pro immigration.

Well if that's what Christians are doing then surely Christianity is suffering from major internal problems and they should sort those out before going after anyone outside of the flock.

I just finished writing a paper on the human right to religious freedom AMA

tldr: you can in exceptional circumstances 'ban' religion but you'd need to exhaust every other avenue first

Wrong. They are pro-science, its followers are malinformed. The story of the Christ is a parody on the sun and therefore the journey of the soul. Religion is a system in which normies can find morality in a literal story of history, and those searching for a deeper purpose find it through allegories, gematria, and parables.

Banning organized religion is pointless, a certain percentage of the population has a biological need to believe in a god or a whatever.

If it isn't a god they will take hold of a secular religion like feminism or PETA.

Furthermore the organized part of organized religion is a important factor in social cohesion and control. Most people are too lazy to work out the ethical proofs as to why stealing is bad, just like most people are too lazy to realize they can derive a quadratic equation. They would rather read in a book that it is true.

Ban god. We need organized religion. Specifically one that has values that we like and focuses around strengthening a community.

What I am saying is that we need to create our own religion

No one is being paid to shill for Hillary. It's a Republican-funded lie and a pathetic attempt at smearing her campaign.

>25. Although the forum externum of freedom of religion or belief and freedom
expression is not protected unconditionally in articles 18 and 19 of the Covenant, its legal
protection remains strong. Limitations or restrictions cannot be legitimate unless they
satisfy all the criteria set out in article 18 (3) or article 19 (3), respectively. Notwithstanding
differences in concrete formulations, the tests required in both articles contain similar
elements. Firstly, limitations or restrictions must be “prescribed by law” or “provided by
law”. The requirement of a clearly formulated legal basis should prevent Governments from
intervening in an arbitrary and unpredictable manner. Moreover, limitations or restrictions
must serve a legitimate purpose from an exhaustive list of possible purposes. In the case of
article 18 (3), this list comprises “public safety, order, health, or morals or the fundamental
rights and freedoms of others”. Article 19 (3) enumerates “respect of the rights and
reputations of others”, as well as “protection of national security or of public order (ordre
public), or of public health or morals”. Finally, both articles require that limitations or
restrictions be strictly “necessary” to pursue one of the said purposes. In other words,
proposed limitations cannot be legitimate if the respective purpose could also be served by
a less far-reaching intervention.
