Every election since 1992 has had mostly the same common factors. I've been studying which states were won by who in all elections since '92, and it seems the determining factor as to who gets the magic 270 required electoral votes this year will likely come down to getting both Ohio AND Florida.

Unless Lord Trump can pull a Reagan and summon a landslide, or even just somehow win New York, I fear for the worst.

My guesses could be totally wrong though, so let's get others to give more personal insight and see if we can figure out what states matter and who will likely get what.

Take everything you know about "conventional electoral strategies" and throw it out the fucking window.

Trump is going to take the traditional playbook and throw it out the fucking window. This isn't going to come down to Ohio and Florida - Trump is going to try and turn Democratic strongholds into swing states.

Pennsylvania is the least cucked state north of the Mason Dixon, we'd be red until the end of days if Philadelphia lost about 20%of its turnout. We're always marginally blue, it's only a few % every year. Trump motivates people to get out and vote, Hillary doesn't. Assuming just 50% of the bernouts got salty and stayed home, or better yet, Trumpvoted, it'd be a fucking landslide. Philadelphia holds us hostage, however, there are 11 fucking million other people outside that city, myself included. If Trump plays his cards right here, it's his golden ticket.

Illinois, however small, has a chance. The city has host so much jobs to mexicans and all that the whitey there will vote trump.
>>
>>73011814
Let me tell you about Pennsylvania.

We might be stuck here, but we are not 'in' the liberal northeast. Haven't you ever heard us called Pennsyltucky? Yes, Pitt and Philly are democrat hellholes, but not so liberal as you think. They are working democrats; italian bakers and polish laborers and irish cops. They've voted democrat and they are democrats in the same way Kennedy and Johnson were democrats. They are conservative democrats who believe in hard work and industry.

And sandwiched in between those urban bookends are republicans because they are conservative, and conservative democrat farmers and conservative democrat hunters, and conservative democrat coal and steel towns that have been ghost towns. Pennsylvanians love their guns, their country, and their rights, and they are intensely patriotic.

FIRST and foremost in Pennsylvania minds is jobs. Being conservative democrats they fit in the big bell curve bulge of 'moderates', that huge group of american majority that both 'sides' forgets about. They went red for Reagan twice and then George H. But George H. failed them, so they went for Clinton then twice, because they did see jobs and the economy prosper under Clinton. They squeaked by for Al Gore and then Kerry because they didn't want George W. (George H failed them, remember?) They feel Obama failed them as well.

You can win PA with jobs, that's all it takes. This will be a Reagan-esque result in PA.

You summed it up better than I ever could. Not to mention that or job market is at the worst it's ever been under the control of none other than; guess who, DEMOCRATS! Obama did exactly nothing to help us out. We got stuck with that faggot Tom Wolf because out former governer, who WAS conservative, Corbett, was a corrupt slime ball who sucked the dick of every facing company, thinking it would create jobs, when it only sapped them off. He also fucked our education. Now that Wolf has proven himself as just as big a fucking cunt, we're in a Conservative mood. PA is literally bipolar disorder- The state.

So for a candidate who has shocked everyone by succeeding by PURPOSEFULLY AND DELIBERATELY going against the grain and throwing out all of the rules that work for and against other politicians, from how to talk, what to talk about, how to game the system and how to manipulate everything

We have to treat him and his presidential campaign like exactly all of the people he not only beat just eviscerated, and all the generations they emulated and the politics they formed

To see how many delegates he gets.

Sometimes, /pol/ is extremely retarded, and despite getting on the Trump Train, is still thinking in 2D politics instead of 3D persuasion.

That is, if they're not some IUP, Pitt, Penn State, or worst of all, a CMU student/graduate/other Alumni. The unions basically dangle people's feet over the fire when it comes to politics. I think almost everyone has this thing all wrong, by assuming that Trump is going to run a very typical campaign in the general election by focusing on the few traditional swing states. What I see Trump doing is going all out across the rust belt and other regions with large numbers of working class democrats, that have been fucked over relentlessly by the party establishment. By focusing on jobs and the economy white maintaining his position as a social moderate, along with a well executed smear campaign against Clinton, I think he could pull it off.
