As a Bernie supporter, I think I'm leaning toward trump rather than hillary in the general election. Is this a good or a bad idea?
>>
hillary cant be trusted
>>
>>73003092
anyone but a politician, senpai
>>
>>73003092
Its the only realistic option if you love our country. You aren't the first to understand that simple truth.
>>
>>73003146
That's how I feel. I didn't agree with all of Bernie's policies or ideas, but what i liked most about him was the fact that I could trust that he wasn't bought and paid for by corporations and lobbyists. Although I think Trump seems a lot, for lack of a better word, "dumber", I think that unlike Hillary he's also someone that is not controlled by entities acting against my interests in order to build monopolies and control things from the shadows.

It really seems to me like Trump didn't ever intend to win, and only accidentally became the nominee by becoming serious halfway through when he realized he could win, but whatever.
>>
Depends. The only Free Shit Trump is giving out is freedom and a free wall.

Bernie means well, but he has fuckall chance of getting any of it passed. You'll just see 4 years of an angry old communist shaking his fist at Congress.
>>
>>73003494
The reason I liked Bernie the most is because I believed he actually cared about fighting against corporatism and is one of the few candidates that specifically called out the major financial players as needing to be broken up. You think Hillary would ever question her jew masters?
>>
>>73003494
youll actually see 4 years of congress blocking anything he tries to get done
>>
>>73003092
Shut the fuck up you liar
>>
>>73003092
Lean to Gary Johnson motherfucker
>>
>>73003861
Bitch you don't know me eat my dick

That's interesting because I have the opposite opinion. To me, it seemed more like Bernie got lucky and Trump was entirely calculated.
Bernie has been in politics pretty much his entire life and now when he's like 90 years old, hes finally hit a nerve... He also makes 200k a year and he's broke? This all just seems like a man that makes poor decisions. On the other hand, Trump came in and dominated almost instantly by using his experience in commanding the media and directing the narrative, and this was all done with calculation and expertise (he even writes about how to control the media.)

so, to me the difference in competence between Trump an everyone else is obvious.
>>
>>73004422
I am not a fan of Trump's history of suing people that criticize him. The man seems like an ego that accidentally stumbles into success because of his confidence and legacy. But Hillary seems so much worse simply because everything she says feels like it was planned out ten days in advance by committee and she doesn't actually have any beliefs at all besides self preservation.
>>
>>73003092

It depends on what you want. Do you want business as usual, or a vacant office?

About Trump, he means well, but he's way out of his depth. He made a bunch of promises and he has no idea how to get it done "lol I'll negotiate or something". He has contempt for the political process that will make it impossible for him to implement his policies, while simultaneously possessing a trusting naivete that will get him taken advantage of by seasoned politicians.

Hillary may be an amoral lizard person who will say anything to get elected, but if you want a president that will be active somewhere other than the golf course, she is the better choice.
>>
>>73003092
well, you've opposed hillary up until now, so why change?
>>
>>73004823
suing people is american though, and the lesser evil thing compared to what politicians do. imagin if you were a billionaire business person, how many dishonest people would be after you. anyways, you should read more about the nice things that Trump does that don't get reported as much. He has a history of helping people down on their luck more than any regular person.

Active in what? Moving industry to China and Mexico? Importing millions of Muslims from countries she helped to destroy and gave them to IS? Way to go, Hillshill

>>73003092
Hillary is more right wing than Trump tbqh. The only liberal thing she does is feminism.

That shit will happen anyway. Trump's background is in reality television, dealing with coked up anorexic starlets and arguing with DOP's about stage lighting. He probably won't even know about 99 percent of the shit his cabinet is doing behind his back.

Bad. Trump will make this country an embarrassment again. On top of that trumpfags are shitting up /pol/. They need to get BTFO and go back to whatever subreddit they spawned from.

That's ridiculous. Might as well walk into a hospital and say "anyone but a doctor".

are you 15? seriously, he's almost 70, the reality tv shit is relatively new. he's a businessman first and foremost. Commanding the media is basically his side hobby.

so you have basically admitted that liberal democrats have already lost the election.
hillary better get to work changing her platform, then, before the true believers find out.
>>
>>73005864
haha I agree! The narwhal bacons at midnight!

*winks*
>>
>>73006031
no. there is a BIG difference there. A doctor actually studies medicine and helps in illnesses

A politician studies?? politics? debating? running for office?
>>
>>73006067

That's what he has been doing lately, which has even less to do with public policy and navigating the federal system than negotiating real estate contracts does. Did you even think this through?
>>
>>73006031
because politicians and lawyers are synonymous with liars.

theyre professionals though

A doctor also gets an ass load of training as a student and resident before they become an attending. How much experience does Trump have in elected office or ANY government position. Furthermore many politicians study law.
>>
>>73003092

Vote third party.

Both candidates have the highest unfavorable ratings in history; we could *finally* see a third party make some serious headway in America this election.
>>
>>73003654
If being against corporatism is your reason for liking Sanders, Clinton is the worst candidate you can vote for. She's so bought and paid for by companies both in the US and overseas, she openly told people that it was like she was running for the senate seat of Shanghai, Riyadh or Punjab. Though a socialist (or someone voting for one) would probably have a hard time comprehending this, in this particular case, the rich businessman candidate's policies will be a net minus for multinational corporations and a plus for American workers.
>>
>>73007400
I'm not actually a socialist. I'm a software developer and I believe that a vote for Clinton is a vote for sending my job overseas to sanjay and dajeet. However, Bernie was correct to point out that major financial institutions controlling a vast majority of the economy is a dangerous situation that needs to be attacked and dismantled in the same way that the telecom companies of the past should have been (and should be again). What I'm looking for is a candidate that will employ no-nonsense common sense regulation while encouraging the maximum possible competition in all financial and technology markets in America. Hillary seems like she'll make sure the richest and most powerful get to run every industry.
>>
>>73007227
And how well has that Experience in politics from politicians worked out for you?
>>
No joke, if you vote for Hillary over Trump you are legitimately mentally retarded.

Only niggers and women support her. Neither of which should be allowed to vote anyway.

This, almost all of them study law, but more importantly, they know who really runs what, who you talk to in order to get something done, who is trustworthy and who is a rat, etc. They have their own little world going on in Washington, and Trump is completely out of his element. They'll do whatever they want behind his back. He will be their tool. Frankly, the naiveté of this board is hilarious at this point. You guys are one thousand-dollar donation to a rich guy away from being on the level of Berniefags.
>>
>>73007227

You speak as if being President is a difficult job. It's really not that hard. Especially for a guy who's run a multi billion dollar corporation for 40 years.

I think he can handle some cuck like Weedman or Merkel in a conference room.
>>
>>73008303

That's what people said about Grant and Eisenhower, that they could just delegate shit and it wasn't nearly as hard as running an army.

In reality, they were ineffectual presidents because their cabinets and other officials just did shit without ever telling them. They lacked the requisite experience in government to know what was actually going on around them.
