Is it right to give up liberty for security? Think Apple vs the FBI.
>>
Das Langley rite lmao senpai?
>>
>>72962904
if you have nothing to hide why do you keep picking liberty?
>>
Or the President's Surveillance Program.
>>
>>72962904
No. It's not even real security, just the illusion of it.

When I see the half-witted fat TSA agents going through my shit and wasting my time at the airport I feel less safe if anything since they're completely useless.

NSA is just wrong, They're spying on YOU why would that be better?

Waste of taxpayer money tbqh.

Why do you feel less safe?
>>
>>72962904
It doesn't even work though.

Anyone actually interested in doing something wrong can securely communicate and the NSA can't do shit.

The only thing the mass spying does is give the government the ultimate database on everyone's lives, giving them the power to scrutinize you about anything.

>scrutinize you about anything

What would that be? Like you're so interesting.
>>

Because the state has increasingly more control.

What's going to happen when ultimately we have chips implanted in our bodies and no way to live as a free person?

If the NSA is spying on everyone that means the state does not trust the people and is trying to suppress them.

Basically your imagination is the limit.

I mean I post racist things on youtube comments and google has probably logged me connecting to pol hundreds of times, but for the average normie basically they have to be absolutely certain that at no point every they ever communicated something the government doesn't like.

If at any point you as a citizen ruffle the feathers of someone in power they can take you down.
This probably means nothing for most people but in order to have a free society we can't let such a weapon be in the hands of the government, and in order to protect those who fight for freedom everyone needs to be on board.

The one who has liberty and no security and choose more security will increase freedom

I don't think they care about you if you're not doing anything criminal.
>>
>>72966568
Then why do they want to log everything I do on the internet?

Terrorists and drug dealers can use burner phones, encrypted communications, or physical letters to communicate. All mass surveillance is good at is collecting information on normies and nigger criminals.

Because you could become a criminal 5 years from now. Radicalised idk
>>
>>72967183
or in 5 years the definition of criminal changes.
>>
>>72967332
They can't convict you for something that is criminal today but wasn't yesterday (that you also did yesterday).

t.law
>>
>>72967471
Not if the law changes. The law used to say that the government needed warrants from a judge to spy on us, then we found out that not only were they spying on everyone anyway, but they could get any warrant they wanted from a secret court that nobody has any details about.

Laws don't mean shit.

I think that is paranoia. Maybe i'm naive.

You had a 240 years so far.

I like how you complain about TSA employees being fat.

Does being fat make them less able to identify terrorists? Or screen people?
>>

Ability to store information is currently superior to the ability to process information so they're trying to collect as much info now to filter later. Old data still has intelligence value.
