I actually did move here permanently for work a while ago. Not a weeb but I do prefer it here over America.
Japan doesn't need multiculturalism / immigration. Their culture constitutes millenia of investment and heritage. The current population issue is a decades-scale problem; it can be mitigated in the short term by economic policy and resolved in the long term through cultural evolution and targeted government action.
The thing they have going for them is their homogeneity. They don't have a fragmented culture like in many western countries. Once things shift back in favor of traditional family formation, they'll embrace it fast.
