Feeling the Bern yet?

Dude I feel it lmao
>>
>>72562020
Yeah, Bernie seems like a decent bloke. But his policies are batshit insane, he's completely unelectable, and his followers are a fucking cult. So there's that.
>>
He's a beatnik that never grew up!
>>
>>72563055
>tfw polls state that he is most electable out of everyone and people still say this
>>
>>72562020
I don't really listen to Bernie's speeches, but from what I've seen, his vocabulary used is fairly simple. Not quite as memorable as Trump's choice of words, but it seriously can't be that hard to remember.
>>
>>72562020

Isn't Bernie mathematically eliminated now? Or very close to it, at least?
>>
>>72563166
>m-m-muh facebook polls!!!
Then how come he's losing to fucking Hillary?
>>
>>72563442
No there are plenty left in California alone that would put him ahead of Hillary but realistically he is eliminated.

Cherrypicked polls don't change the fact he's a self-declared socialist (who doesn't have the faintest clue what socialism is, but that's a topic for another thread) in the USA. Not. Going. To. Happen.

>>
>>72563311
I'm sure there's a lot of political nuance and different ways to compare candidates,
but holy shit really? You're trying to make the comparison that Donald "I know lots of good words" Trump is better than Bernie because Bernie's 'vocabulary used is fairly simple'?
Not even concluding Bernie is superior, but Jiminy Christmas use a better comparison.

Nice 1 lads.

Save my post. Literally save it and post it. Hillary will win. I said it from the start.

No
A tumblr post means nothing
Social media is not a source

Do you know how many leftists lie and exaggerate on that shit?

At least have the courtesy to give a video
>>
>>72562020

He's been making the same speech for 30 years so this shouldn't be surprising. Bernie is right about a lot of the issues but his solutions are nonsense and he doesn't do anything to work towards them. His entire career has nothing but him jerking off to the sound of his own voice.
>>
>>72564033
>alt right

>alt left
>Bernie
Memes memes they're good for the heart the more you eat the more you fart
>>
>>72563883
>Americans in charge of reading comprehension.

The fucking leaf never once said who was better. Just that Bernie tends to use a simpler vocabulary, so therefore it'd be easier for him to remember his speeches, which would make the fact that he gave one twice, the second time without a prompter, less impressive.
>>
>>72563166
From what we see of him in Straya's news he looks like your lovable Grandad who stayed sober on Christmas and showed you how to make fishing rods while the rest of the family was pissed.

How socialist are his species? I know his policies are but does he tone in down for public events?
>>
>>72563660
Clearly he should consult /pol/ on how socialism = Communism and how Flint, MIs water crisis isn't why sometimes doing things in the name of capitalism is the best idea for the people.

Police, firefighters, government officials, water and electricity are all socialized services that haven't turned our country into Soviet Russia. Adding health care to the mix and accessible higher education will not break the country, but it will put a bigger hole in the pockets of those who want you to be enslaved and not prospering.

I don't agree with Bernies immigration policy and meekness toward SJW but his economics are the last thing anyone should be attacking him for.

If SJWs are to be stopped, we need to fill the colleges with conservatives, including those at /pol/ who would never consider it currently.
>>
>>72563883
No, I'm saying while I can admit that Trump definitely makes sure his speech patterns appeal to idiots, Bernie is not some prodigious linguist either and it wouldn't be difficult to repeat what he said.

The reason people only shit on Trump is because he goes against the liberal narrative. An objective media would point out how poor both are at pontificating. Ben Carson and Rand Paul are better speakers by far.
>>
>>72563975

Sanders polls well, but does poorly when it comes time to actually vote.
>>
>>72564375
He wishes to mix socialism and capitalism many of the people earlier in the thread are making him out to be Stalin if you know his policies then that is about what he talks about not a ton of filler in his speeches and he also doesn't speak in platitudes like Hillary
>>
>>72564585
He hasn't gone against a Republican yet and I know he can't win this cycle but if all primaries were open it would be a different conversation because independents overwhelmingly support him

State control of the means of production, and it's the definition, not just mine. Bernie preaches European-style social democracy, which American leftists (a perfect storm of idiot if ever there was one) confuse with democratic socialism, which in itself is just a propaganda term used by actual communists to disguise their goals. He doesn't even know the right term for his beliefs, and you expect him to be a viable candidate?
>>
>>72564776
Well said
>>
>>72564486
>but his economics are the last thing anyone should be attacking him for.

No, that's the absolutely worst thing about him if you understand anything about economies. Things like Police, firefighters, government officials, water and electricity can be socialized because those things can't really form competitive businesses, but that doesn't apply to hc.
>>
>>72564486
Higher education needs to crash though
If it's saved right now the purge doesn't occur and nothing will change
It'll become even more of bureaucratic shithole and place for whiners

Right wing intellectuals aren't bursting through the doors anytime soon

His economic policies are for the most part retarded

Don't be stupid lad

God I can't believe we're fucking this far into the election and there are STILL people on this board that agree with Bernie Sanders at any level
>>
>>72564486
>publically-funded services are socialism
Jesus fucking christ, no. Taxes were being used to fund public works in fucking ancient Rome. Do you consider that socialism too?
>>
>>72564711

If they're too lazy to change their party to vote for him, what makes you think they'll actually vote for him?

>inb4 "b-but changing your party is tedious"
Maybe if you're a literal retard (which seems to describe most Bernie supporters), but in most states you can change your party online, as is the case for Pennsylvania.

>TelePrompTer

Trigger me timbers, cap'n. That's the most egregious misuse of capitals I've seen in some time
>>

I think he would be viable in a general because then the independents can vote the problem that makes him a difficult person to elect is the primaries where many are rigged and closed

That didn't stop prisons from being privatized, did it?

I don't think he really cares about the term used
He just wants to put America on the tract to communism

yeah. He totally still has a chance! #neverhillary #alwaysbernie #republicanoverhillary
>>
>>72565080
He still openly calls himself a socialist, and his policies are plenty left-wing and authoritarian enough that he couldn't defend himself from such accusations even without shooting himself in the foot like that. He's also old, senile, Jewish, doesn't understand basic economics, and would self-evidently run America into the ground. But sure, keep thinking that "muh independents" will make all that go away.
>>
>>72562020
commiefag
when you think about it, years ago, your country was fighting against communism, and now, some american claim communism is good/support this guy, what have you become USA..

He'll do that because he's an authoritarian leftist (which is a tautology in practice, but worth the clarification) and therefore is a useful idiot pawn for communism. It has nothing to do with his personal feelings towards communism.
>>
>>72565080
What makes you think the independents support him?
Like really what world do you live on?
Independents are such generally because they don't follow politics at all and don't wish to and are easily swayed

Bernie would get steam rolled in a general unless he was against some cuckservative and even then
>>

>>>72564486 (You)
>>Police, firefighters, government officials, water and electricity are all socialized services
>Are you a literal fucking retard...oh wait that's right, you support Bernie, of course you are.

No, I'm a realist who supports a candidate that will actually secure the nomination, I'm on the Trump train.

The idiot in this discussion is the one calling names before trying to facilitate actual discussion. In case you don't understand, look at the (You).
>>
>>72565317
Source on that bill?
>>
>>72565398
I think it does have some to do with his personal feelings towards communism

He has some amount like for the system
This is proven by his past (which is another why he would never get elected)

>>>72564486 (You)

So socialism only fits your own definition that borders on communism? How naively convinient.

How many Americans can realistically save money in a tax free bank account for their health care under Trump's plan, that couldn't pay for their health care currently?

It's retarded to think that either Bernie or Trump are 100% foolproof. Anything is better than Shillary. If not for Bernies campaign, Trump wouldn't have stood a chance in the general.
>>
>>72563166

Sanders is ahead for the same reason Kasich leads in polls: He has not been attacked in any meaningful way since the front runners and media don't take him seriously enough to cut him down.
>>
really bad grammar and structure.

6/10
>>
>>72563975
He polls well because the media has barely said anything negative about him like kasich. He'd get creamed in a general with the media finally hounding him.

>>>72565550 (You)
>You say that like I'm a communist. I'm not. I just recognise different shades of leftie scum.

>if not for Bernie's campaign Trump wouldn't stand a chance

What exactly has Bernie done against Hillary? Pissed off the millennial crowd you know the single least trustworthy voting demographic in America?
Wow good job Bernie

God mate people like you are why I left this board
This place is just full of fucking memers from Reddit

Polls done nearly half a year in advance aren't really that accurate and Sander's support isn't nearly as wide as you think it is.

I was kind of sympathetic to Bernie at first (not that I'm a leftist, but just because he wasn't shillary). However, it turned out he is completely retarded. Isn't he in thousands of dollars of credit card debt as well? That's pretty sad honestly.

It's not that, he just hasn't gotten enough college students to give him their living allowance from their parents, or part of their student loan, to rent a bigger place
>>
>>72566088
He didn't have a job til his early 40's. And by "real" I mean elected office.

He doesn't seem to understand often simple financial concepts. For example in your pic, it makes perfect sense that college loans have higher interest rates than car loans or mortgages, because the latter two have collateral.
>>
>>72566568
didn't have a real job*
>>
>>72566039
Nice part where you left out "in the general"

2/10 attempt at bait. The shit Hillary has been doing to win against Bernie has pushed his supporters toward a third party or Trump.

Can't expect cucks to see that far ahead though.
>>
>>72566154
Which is why putting money first and not the people isn't always in our best interest.
>>
>>72564486

Socialism = Worker control or ownership of the means of production. (i.e. nationalization of industry, etc.)

Bernie is a Social Democrat, he doesn't want to do that (except maybe healthcare? but that's hardly the commanding heights of industry.)

Bernie wants a kinder type of capitalism. There was a day he was a socialist, but the policies he runs on today are just social democracy.

There's nothing wrong with that. Actually, the worst thing about his social democracy is that he makes it less electable by calling it socialism.
>>
>>72562020
>at least 7000 people came

>>72566781

On the free market, you need to put people first, otherwise you won't make any money in the first place. Where did the motto "the customer is always right" come from? I'm pretty sure it didn't come from state officials.
