Which countries in Europe are good for an American to move to nowadays?

I'm graduating in a week with a Comp Sci degree, so I should be guaranteed easy citizenship and middle class life wherever I move. I just don't want to live in the US if Hillary wins.

Is the UK or Ireland a good place to move? The language barrier would be nonexistence and I feel that the culture shock wouldn't be too bad either.
>>
>>72521302
Culture shock wouldn't be bad anywhere btw. I never found much difference between the peoples of europe culturally, all listen to western pop music, watch american movies etc.

The cost of living is high but New Zealand is a beautiful country from what I've seen.

Paying for a degree in America and coming to a continent where it is free doesn't make any sense.

wew lad

If you can't stand the idea of living under Hillary, you would probably kill yourself if you had to live in Europe for more than about a month.

If you want a tech based job putting your degree to some use then either Germany or the UK for the wages. Spain would be another good place as they have a large presence in the big data market.
>>
>>72521302
Ireland is poor
England is a good place to study
Norway is fucking beautiful (So is Austria and Switzerland)
Switzerland has good gun laws, cheap good unis and people earn more
Don't know much about Austria other than the FPO (Far right party) got 30% in the last elections
>>
Dude, are you stupid or something? Top tier is getting free college in Europe, THEN moving to US. Not the other way around. Do you like 67% taxes (~50% on income, ~25% on all goods on your leftover cash)???

Do not come here. It's a shithole only good for free college.

Hillary would be considered right-wing compared to our "conservatives".
>>
>>72522683
The Tories make the Democrats look like the Republicans, to say nothing of Labour.

Also: a CS degree won't guarantee you a middle class life in the UK. Tech jobs for fresh grads pay £30k-£50k in London (closer to the lower end unless you went somewhere like Oxbridge/Imperial/Edinburgh/equivalent). £50k won't get you much in London. You'll have to rent a room in shared accommodation, and most accommodation is old, small, doesn't have double glazing, doesn't have a dishwasher, doesn't have central heating, doesn't have good insulation, etc.

Things are a bit better outside London but there's fewer jobs and they won't pay as much.

http://www.nus.org.uk/en/advice/money-and-funding/average-costs-of-living-and-study/

Average cost is £23.5k per year in London, £22.2k per year outside London. My understanding is that US college fees generally include accommodation and a meal plan.

netherlands and ireland are some of the few capitalitish countries left in europe
netherlands gives tax cuts to skilled expats first 8yrs and you don't need dutch, many americans already there
ireland drives on the other side of the road
both are americanized and tech/finace hubs of europe
switzerland would be far better, but its very hard to get into and german is main language though many speak english like the other two

other than that i can't say you'll keep a lot of your money

Tution fees are capped at £9,000
>>
>>72521302
It's bad idea m8, there is a reason why poles still rather move to US despite open borders with UK or Germany, you will make 20k less on average, there is just as many if not more retards here and you can actually buy a gun in US, just move to Alaska or something.
>>
>>72521302

Ignoring the fact that driving in London is hellish: I work in Mayfair. My office does not have space for cars. Where would I park?

>Tution fees are capped at £9,000
Students also have to pay for rent, food, bills, transport, etc., none of which are included in UK tuition fees.
>>
>>72523037
Actually you're wrong

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-36150276

>The social mobility charity says those who graduated from English universities last year - under the £9,000 fees regime - owed an average of £44,000.
>It says average debts in other English-speaking countries ranged between approximately £15,000 and £29,000. The government says England's funding system is "fair and sustainable".
The Sutton Trust says on average American graduates owe between $29,000 (£20,500), for students at public or private non-profit universities, and $32,600, for those at private for-profit universities.
>Students who left Canadian universities last year were on average 28,500 Canadian dollars (£15,000) in debt, those leaving Australian institutions were 39,700 Australian dollars (£20,900) in debt, and graduates from New Zealand universities owed on average 50,000 NZ dollars (£23,300), the trust says.

No they aren't mong.
>>
>I'm graduating in a week with a Comp Sci degree, so I should be guaranteed easy citizenship and middle class life wherever I move.

Is this a troll? You don't actually believe this is true do you? You are very, very mistaken.
>>
>>72524323
I think it's likely more true in the US than in the UK. The cost of living in most of the US is a lot lower than over here.

This is exacerbated by the fact that tech jobs in the UK are concentrated in London, whereas the US is much more decentralized. Only NYC and small parts of CA are really comparable to London in terms of cost of living. It's much easier to find a tech job in a state with a lower cost of living in the US than it is to find one outside London in the UK.

The icing on the cake is that, in general, software engineers are paid more in the US than in the UK. A $100k salary after a few years is fairly ordinary over there, but quite exceptional over here.

I'm getting ta and my gi bill from the Marines, I've thought about moving to Poland if Hitlery gets elected. If I can't have guns at least let me live around white catholics. My dad's got Irish citizenship so it wouldnt be a hassle for me to get Irish and then EU cirizenship
>>
>>72521302
You can survive in Oslo without speaking the language with no issues.

hell, you could even take classes at UiO. All master level comp sci classes are taught in english and tuition is ~150USD/semester
>>
>>72524769

There's a reason educated Poles leave their country to do shitty jobs in western Europe mate.

You can't just base a decision to move to a country off of /pol/ memes.
>>
>>72524860
Oslo will be 30% non-White in the future

OP, don't bother will Switzerland- impossible to get a job and get residency there as a non-EU person
>>
UK unless you want to bother learning a new language
>>
>>72522476
fuck off, we're full
>>
>>72525145

This. Just because Swedes/Danes/Aquafreshes usually speak English, doesn't mean you can get a job there, almost all jobs require you to speak their language
