Depends what you mean by famous people. If it's about the actors then it's pretty obvious - Hollywood was made by left wing jews who still hold all the strings so in order to make career you have to dance to the tune. This coupled with the fact that most actors are pretty shallow people with little knowledge of anything outside their trade gives the result of 98% of movie industry being a giant liberal circlejerk.
Most are, but not as many as people suspect. The one's who aren't can't speak out from fear of losing not being hired. It isn't worth it to them, and for good reason given the money involved

Just being smart. In an increasingly globalized world, you should be able to move with the wind, and try your hardest to appease the bigger demographic.
Take James Woods for example. The only way for him to get back into acting is to take offers from people who made pic related, like the Bible Belt movies etc..
