There is no American military base in Canada, or atleast with the quick googling I did. There is a military base called CFS Leitrim which is a communications analysis station, however it's outside Ottawa, not in Manitoba.

I live 2 miles from USAF base Lakenheath, they are always flying F-15, Apache's Ac130's.
Saw a F22 Raptor last week.
Shame they are leaving us, the base is twice the size of my town, they have cinemas, bowling, restaurants everything,.
Ill say this for the Americans, they maybe great in their air, but on our narrow country lanes... Ive seen a lot of 4x4's in the ditch!

Sure. It's still a better air superiority fighter than 99% of the jets other militaries can field. We're even talking about upgrading them. Giving them cutting edge avionics and radar and such. They would basically become missile platforms for AWACS or F-22s.
There's even a "stealth" variant that's been modeled and proposed to the USAF by Boeing. Google the F-15SE.
