I'd definitely recommend checking out Sibiu, Constanța and Cluj-Napoca (my home city). There's a lot to see outside Bucharest. Stay away from the gypsy areas though.
Most Romanians can learn basic English. I studied English before moving here so I already knew the basics which helped a lot.

I would recommend mostly cities in Transylvania.
Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Hunedoara to name a few. There's a lot more to see and some great landscapes. I personally don't like the capital to be honest. To me it just looks like another shitty soviet city and that's mainly because of the communist era. Also I think most gypos live in the capital. That said the house of parliament is a sight to behold

Yes we are having difficulty in the UK accommodating 300,000 a year. We dont particulsrily feel like building over what countryside we have left.
Plus there are big strains on NHS (55%of Births t o British mothers), Schools etc. We cant account for unknown quantities of people each year competing with our youth for work.
