Prove me wrong
How goes mathematical ability effect political knowledge?

split x into polar coordinates etc etc etc

Never seen this relationship but I smell polar coordinates and taylor series

Why do you feel the urge to make human resolved math equations relevant in any way?

I don't know what the fuck is going on in OP's picture.
That being said I have no qualifications and I'm retarded.
>>72335696
Did you take basic calculus?

Exactly my point
>>72335478
Because it demonstrates analytic thought, logic and quantitative skills. Though I'd argue that numerical/statistical/computational stuff far outshines analytic math in terms of skillsets that it would be beneficial for the average person to be at least a little familiar with since they're the main parts of math that actually get used in the real world.
t. someone who spent 12 years of high school and 3 years of uni learning analytic math just to code everything up in numerical schemes and intentionally get the wrong answer anyway
>>72335963
>12 years of high school
Australia works different our primary education finishes at kindergarten trust me

The integral in op's picture is one of the most well known integrals in calculus, which anyone could easily find the solution to by googling. You two clearly don't realize that, hence proving the op right
>>72335919
I could if I wanted to, I have no use for this bullshit in the real world and you don't have it either LMAO.
>>72333823
All it is OP is area under a fucking curve.

Protip: it's not an indefinite integral so you don't need to find the antiderivative to solve the equation.
>>72336240
Sorry I assumed everyone knows that its a gaussian distribution and hence implied that
So you're saying only people from STEM fields should be able to vote?
Gaussian integrals are seen in calc 2, which is not something someone studying law, economics (yes, I know some economics majors require calc 2, but not all of them do) or business often takes.
And don't get me started on the military, law enforcement, firefighters, etc.
Are you saying those people shouldn't be able to vote?
>>72335916
What flag?
Mobile
>>72336240
I remember having to prove this kind of shit in college. I guess being dominated by x to the minus 2 is enough to prove it but who cares.
>>72336471
only way I know to solve it without a calculator would be to take the anti derivative and substitute in infinity and -infinity then calculate the difference
>>72335919
I speak 7 languages, I'm nearly certain you don't.
Does that make you stupid?
No, it just means you haven't learned 7 languages.
I could give you quizzes on Russian grammar that you would fall on your fucking face in, that doesn't make you any less fit to vote in an election.
>voting
>reason and logic
Retard.
>>72333823
You square the integral to get a double integral with e^(-x^2-y^2), then convert to polar coordinates and do the simple integral.

I was barely able to maintain my grade in math, physics and especially chemistry above 50%
My mathematical capabilities end at Pythagoras' theorem, sines, tangents and cosines and even then I find those confusing. I have no idea what's going on in the OP.
Math got complicated after letters were brought in and was barely doable after Greek letters were brought in.
Chemistry got difficult after oxides.
But I maintained good grades in subjects like geography, history, languages and crafting.
I know I'm not a drooling retard because then I would have failed everything and I would have lost a finger after making a bird nest.
>>72335766
Do they do this in calc 1? I'm in MAT 114 right now and all we've done so far is limits and derivatives
