/pol/, should I take adderal? I'm fucking lazy as fuck and need to do much more in school than I am currently to keep up with all the Asians that are raising the bar to new levels. I would like to take it, but I am worried about all the side effects and possible addiction. If in the long run (2 years left), I get addicted and it fucks my life up I won't. If it gives a nice boost to my work stamina and concentration I will. Anyone have any experience with it.

The thing is once you get used to the level of performance you get while on speed, then you start needing to keep yourself sped up to maintain that level of performance.
Tread carefully. If you want to give it a go, plan on when you can take a good three weeks off of it every so often so you can get back to normal. You won't notice that you've become dependent until after you recover.

As a beginner, you can hit it pretty hard. I and many people I've known were on adderal or ritalin or ephedrine or whatever else all day every day for quite a while. It's only over the long haul that you notice it's really starting to eat at you. Most people I know who are in good shape today are the ones who managed to cut that out.
I'm not against occasional stimulant usage when a particularly demanding situation comes up, but I view it more like an emergency measure. Like if you do something without it, then do without it. But if you've already got the pedal to the floor and need more juice, then you've got some more juice in reserve.
The worst is when you start taking more and it does nothing. Then you're really fucked because you're equally fucked if you stop.

Yeah, they're all a little different. Different people can respond to them differently, though, so you might as well experiment. Aderall, being methamphetamine salts, is least interesting to me, and most likely to cause burn out. Ritalin has mild psychoactive effects that I find to be highly useful even at tiny doses. Ephedrine (used to be) easy to get in bulk without a prescription, and in some ways is the most mild, sustainable energetic once you build a bit of tolerance. On the other hand, once you start cranking up the ephedrine dosage, you have to start dealing with increasingly bad comedowns.
I've not tried vyvanse, but everyone I know who's given that a go has bad stories about it.

I've been taking adderall for four years now straight and I can say I was in your position and it was literally better then anything humanly.I have been diagnosed with ADHD also my brain chemistry is fucked (stimulants make me fall asleep; if I drink more then two cups I knock out for hours.If I drink I go über super hero power level) you have to make sure that you keep up your cardio and cut back sugar. You need to keep very hydrated and you'll love it, look up the movie limitless it was based off of adderall the effects similar when you start taking it for the first month then your brain adjust to it. Look up the FMRI scans on brains that took adderall properly and it actually improved the brains function and the people who used it semi regularly saw a one to two full IQ boost. As a German - where this shit is outlawed due to whatever reason - I can give you a better alternative: Grab a small cup of coke and put a large scoop of instant coffee into it. Drinking one of these bad boys before uni and before homeworks helps immensely. You will have about a year of higher productivity until your caffeine tolerance becomes too high.

I was outright addicted for a while. It definitely took a mental and physical toll on me. I feel a lot better nowadays, but it did take a while to get back to being normal and productive on my own. I chalk it up to a learning experience. It's a matter of finding out one's own personal limitations and learning how to work within them.

From my view (different op) I have a whole family line of mental illness and if I take more then 40mg I start getting psycho affects such as increased aggressive behavior (you will be brutal honest to people if they are annoying you (positive great if you want to a speech). I've gone through psychosis (from using a lot and going cold turkey) and I would hear and see shit that wasn't actually there (spots, shapes) and general cloudiness

Most of the college laziness is passion. The students don't really care about getting a degree. I was in college 8.5 years because I skipped class, smoked tons of weed and played vidya. When I got to a point where I NEEDED to make good grades to stay in school I worked hard, but never without that type of motivation.
I did adderal one time... I took it and for 15 hours I cleaned my apartment, cleaned my friends apartment, and studied 6 hours straight just for fun. I stopped using it because I didn't like the rush. I don't know how addictive it is but if I could go back to 18 and start college, I'd be taking fistfulls of it.

I've never gotten myself hooked on opiates, but your description suggests that you didn't develop a problem with them.
The folks I've known who went through opiate problems had really big, obvious problems, like eating oxycontin by the bottle, wondering where the next fix would be coming from, being afraid to leave the house, and in bad cases graduting to H, breaking and entering, unwanted babies, prison time, stabbings, etc.

Ritalin turns you into a slow, worthless motherfucker if you have ADHD, but makes you extremely concentrated and productive if you're a lazy shit or have ADD. Don't be fooled though, the increase in concentration is unclear and might not be noticeable. While it does make you active, it's also extremely addictive and turns you into an unstable mood-swing piece of shit. When the effects wear off you're left more tired, depressed and unconcentrated than you could've ever imagined before you started using it. Just like heavy drugs, your body soon can't function without it. As long as you keep yourself fuelled with it, you're invincible, though. However, It really fucks with your appetite, you won't be able to force anything down your throat any more.
I used it for a bit, but the negative feedback of being too tired to take more Ritalin after the first one wore out, caused me to stop using it at all. My brother is still using it though. He's trying to use less, but only because it gets too difficult to acquire enough of it for his addiction.

Just keep in mind that you will basically be doing meth. Adder all is taxing on the body and shouldn't be done for long lengths of time. Do it for a day or two, get shit done then quit for a few weeks.
Banging dope is much more fun though.
everybody should take adderall. It makes you more focused and gives you energy. I"ve been taking it since middle school and i'm almost in my 30s now. I wouldn't go a day without it.
