Austin, or San Antonio?
Gotta move to one

Why do people keep asking these stupid fucking questions about Austin?
>>
>>72299387
Earn enough of a paycheck to support my basic needs and play that street jazz all day.

Southeastern?
>>
Hey I live in San Marcos it's between the two of em. Honestly both are really good. Austin might be liberal but it's decent San Antonio is a ton of spics. But the outside areas can be nice.
Ask me anything you need
>>
>>72299753
Sorry?

...I mean, what faggot?
>>
San Marcos or Georgetown/RoundRock

Cedar Park is nice too. Bastrop if youre kinda tinfoily anti gubmint.

Austin proper is traffic, socialist city council, more traffic, muh feels based politics, traffic, LGBTE)@D*CE#DDWS123ian feminists, traffic, overpriced everyfucking thing. Did I mention traffic?

Decent rent (not ghetto starving student but not olympic pool clubhouse) will run you about 700-900 month for rent. Housing prices are still decent compared to San Fagcisco or Jew York.

Williamson County is uber redpilled, Clint Eastwood did some movie there a while back, the courthouse has signs that read "Curse and you will spend the night in jail" or something like that and they mean it.

What's the delano of texa?
>>
>>72300135
I figured you were going to Louisiana to go to Southeastern university. There are tons of Nepalese there.
>>
>>72300170
Williamson County is based. A couple years ago some kid got a life sentence for selling weed.
>>
>>72299175
Texan here. Don't listen to any faggot that tells you Houston or Dallas. Austin is infa 100% the best city in Texas. I recommend living in a comfy suburb 15min drive outside of the city.

Bastrop reporting in. Is the tinfoil perception because of the few people that cried about muh jade helm?
>>
>>72300600
Kinda. But Bastrop has always had a rep as being rebellious and innawoods.

>loved going to State Park there as kid
>surrounded by tall as fuck pine trees
>stone cabins
>fishing
>sucks that it burnt down

Dont take tinfoily antigubmint in a bad way. Id personally move there if it wasnt so far from Gulf (work offshore).

Austin unless you're hardcore /pol/ nationalist alt-right blah blah. Better food and music
>>
>>72299175
San Antonio's nice but Mexicans drive like shit and are complete assholes. Was driving and some Mexican broad almost crasshed into me tryna switch lanes in bad traffic. Spic mom kept braking and was going like 20 MPH so I kept honking and the little spic son and his girlfriend threw their drinks and food at my windshield. Still makes me mad
>>
>>72300783
My dad used to bring me to the state park a lot. I used to go their sometimes after he passes. Now I can't go. The fires and the flood destroyed what was left of it. The dam in the park busted and drained the lake and washed out the road to the other side of the park. It's pretty depressing. Luckily the other side of the park near Smithville (Buscher state park)is still in good condition and has a few really cozy spots to go to.
>>
I'm Austin and hardcore /pol/ and /k/. The liberals are here in force. I quit a job over a no gun policy. Visited San Antonio, would not want to live there.
>>
>>72300948
Yeah but you can always just take an hour drive up on the weekends for that shit. San Antonio is less expensive, less traffic, and not a liberal hell hole. Theres still some cool stuff in San Antonio too, the downtown area is really pedestrian friendly, and has anything you'd really want. Obviously Austin has the better bar scene if you're into that. I can't imagine the bars will be a deciding factor though.
>>
>>72301187

IMO Austin bar scene is trashy. Lots of bad things happen there and downtown is best left before 10pm but I'm old/over 30. Also way too many homeless niggers. They are practically crawling all over the place.
>>
>>72301015
Yeah I used to go with my dad every winter and get one of those stone cabins.

>dad would walk around and point at branches and have me walk around loaded up with firewood
>spent time collecting big a fuck pinecones
>hot chocolate by fireplace

He passed last year and I have to drive by the South entrance everytime I head towards Houston from Austin.

Just hope that 10 years from now its back to something like I remember it (trees obviously wont be that big) so I can take my future kids

Did the cabins survive the fire? I think they would cept for the roofs...
>>
>>72301918
I believe most of them if not all survived. I drove through the a month or so ago and saw 10 or so cabins that were fine if nothing else you can go to the Buscher side like I said and there's loads of cabins and it looks the same.

The fuck you know about southeastern, fag?

Lived in San Marcos for a few years. Besides the spastic car traffic, I loved it.

Wimberley and Dripping Springs aren't so bad if you want a little more country.
>>
>>72299175
San Antonio if you want to get robbed by spics, Austin if you don't mind the hipster douche folk

I just realized I missed the crawfish boil outside Fayard yesterday.

Austin if you want to get robbed by panhandling junkies
>>
>>72299175
Austin
it's your little Europe
>>
>>72302926
Austin is actually really really safe in most parts. If you get robbed its your own fault because you're in a really bad neighborhood at 3am
>>
>>72299175
Austin is fucking awesome, and contrary to most people's beliefs, isn't all that liberal if you stay away from colleges. However, it is fucking expensive.

San Antonio is pretty cool; I've been stationed here a year so far.

Houston is cool, too minus the mayor.

I lived in Austin for 11 years and Houston for 6.
>>
>>72302990
theres literally no part of austin i wouldnt feel safe walking around in, that being said its a liberal shithole of a city filled with BLM supporters and Bernie faggots.

Austin has beautiful geography, great swimming holes and food, but youre probably better off in San antonio, plus you get to enjoy the dominance of the spurs
>>
>>72303279
>being in the chair force
>>
>>72302926
>can't beat the shit out of an emaciated 120 pound junky
>>
>>72303428
I don't see why you wouldn't just live in a suburb of Austin or even 30 minutes drive away from Austin. Best of both worlds, you live in a cozy place away from libcucks and if you want to you can go to the best city for food and drinking in the entire state.
>>
>>72301548

yep, Austin is a fucking sess pool for the homeless, expect to be begged for cigarettes and change, like in san fran.

the college breeds liberalism even though it's Texas, corporations move there for no state tax, it has it's artsy fartsy scene and lots of bands and art shit happens there, but I'm guessing it won't last. Once the tech companies come in, Austin will probably tax the shit out of them because it's so socialistic.
>>
>>72303577
i moved away from Austin, i live in the country by Dallas now, the suburbs are very depressing to me, i see the obvious perks of them but i just cant do it, i have acres and can shoot on my property and ride dirt bikes. One day id like to live in wimberly or dripping springs, central texas and hill country is the shit
>>
>>72303794
huge condos are moving in downtown and the retards that move in to them complain about loud live music and the city bans the venues from playing after 12

>literally wot m8

Austin is trash now-a-days jump ship while you can
>>
>>72303577

pretty much this, maybe lake travis is your best bet if you have money
>>
>>72303794

I dont think that corporate taxes will happen from the city the local governments like to rape home owners. There may be something like 100m in venture capital coming into Travis year, it's pretty much off the charts and plenty of good jobs.
>>
>>72300436
Why would I go to uni? I'm a musician.
>>
>>72303577
This is where I grew up. Really want to go back
>>
>>72299175
I currently live in San Antonio. Lots of Mexicans but 9 out of 10 are bro tier. Very little blacks. A lot of things to do. I've lived all over Texas and aside from small towns it's probably the closest you'll get to a Texas experience. Austin is OK but it's filled to the brim with SJW'S and technology faggots who think they are unique although chicken shit bingo is a fun time. SA would be my choice.
