Nursing isn't a very masculine profession is the trick. Its also the only field where a white man will receive all the gibs that brown girls do. Being able to lift a patient up is a very very useful ability in nursing
Teaching is different. Masculine inflection on lessons is against the narrative. Can't have those young boys growing up to believe they aren't at fault for everything :)

In the US, most men who are in teaching at are doing it at the university level (whether as an "instructor" with no doctorate or as a professor) or are doing it in private schools.
The reason is this: men tend to be more competitive. If you're a competitive man who's good at medicine, you become a doctor because then you make more. If you're a competitive man and you want to teach, you teach at a college or a private school because those pay more.
