No, Liberia is a shithole. The african americans that went back did exactly what they were escaping -- they oppressed the native tribes, segregated them, etc. Now Liberia is in terrible shape, just like the rest of west Africa. Would America be better off if all blacks went back? No, we needed black labor after the civil war just like before. Our agricultural gdp would've sank, and we wouldn't be quite as capable as a world power.
