It's one of those vices. I'd group it in with staying up too late, playing video games, procrastination, gambling, and anything else instantly gratifying that doesn't promote success in the long run.
People have many vices. Some only have a couple that hardly interfere with life, whereas others have a difficult time getting what they want because of their vices.
Should we outlaw it? I don't really think so. But we should probably govern it a little just to keep predatory companies at bay. We do this with gambling and such. We know it's a cultural thing and in moderation it's not dangerous, but if companies practice predatory behavior to trap people in such lifestyles, it starts becoming a national security issue.
So a combination of positive influence and light moderation is the key to both keep our freedom and combat degeneracy. Of course there'll always be individuals that let their vices completely run them regardless of exposure. We can't save them all and the root of that problem is deeper than simply limiting their exposure. Plus, if we do, they'll fight back.
Don't fall into the trap of letting vices run your life though. It's easy to get trapped in an imaginary world of video games or be hopeful with a reward system of great means. It's simply a matter of identifying your vices and realizing their impact on your life.
Porn is great. People need to stop being such prudes.
