Grew up in Italy with Italian, Coptic, and Muslim friends, and getting to know the two sides, I noticed that older copts are basically slightly-less-hardcore muslims, but with christian values to be integralist about, while younger copts (that aren't extremely religious) tend to be 99% like western guys.
Also Islam corrupted coptic values too, since the christians had to adopt their way of life. For example my mother had genital mutilation as a child despite coming from an all-christian family.
It changes with the area though.
