Seriously, /pol/? Just what is wrong with a universal basic income?
It doesn't work when you don't want to deport all the people who are paid under the table for way less. So while Dem's like to pander with it they also have to pander to the illegals
>>72039327
It has no use unless every single low-skill/manual labor job becomes entirely dominated by machines.

Because someone has to pay for that shit
>>72039327
I think it can work in a homogeneous nationalistic society,
>ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Fuck off
>>72039429
Basic income =/= minimum wage
If anything, basic income would allow the elimination of the "living" minimum wage, and thereby eliminate this problem.
You do still have to keep immigration in check though, to keep economic opportunists from flooding into the country, applying for citizenship and gibmedats and then sending the dosh back to their families in bumfuckistan.
>>72039732
That's essentially already happening. Mechanized agriculture alone has already caused a massive shift in the global labor paradigm.
>>72040022
True, and if you implement it it's critical that you draw the line carefully so that the populace is still incentivized to work.
>>72040761
Automation still hasn't reached the mass necessary where there are zero low-skill jobs.
>>72041260
>zero
So if half the fucking world is competing over a single low-skill position, you'd still oppose basic income? Fuck off.

This, shitskins will never produce anything good or work on creating a community with people from the host country. All the money they get will go to the families and will be used on stuff like drugs.
Nothing. It would get rid of all the costly bureaucracy that is needed to maintain regular welfare handouts
>>72039327
you forget niggers exist
>>72043179
>put entire country on welfare
>that makes it less costly to hand out welfare
>>72039327
Nothing, if you believe people should be entitled to 'free' stuff simply based on need.
>>72039732
Automation of jobs is a meme. It's not happening and isn't going to happen on any widespread level for at least another 3 decades.
