Metal and all its derivatives is meme music for pale manchildren and literal children. It appeals to a certain constructed sense of (pre) medieval culture which never existed in that form. The vikings etc. whom metalheads worship so much would have probably killed most metalheads for being weird and weak.
Rock is more mixed, some of it is very good, but much of it is degeneracy. I mostly listen to classical music, German marching music, German schlager and its Dutch equivalent (levenslied), Nana Mouskouri, France Gall and other '60s pop singers from when it was still good.
