Xenoblade and xenosaga, obviously. .Hack is a very in depth series, but not quite as fleshed out as the xeno series. I personally think GU is better than the original 4 .hacks, but that's just my opinion. Witcher 3 has an enormous amount of depth and lore, but it's not a jrpg. What comes to mind when I think epic storyline is Asura's Wrath, Skies of Arcadia, and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. God of War is pretty exciting as well.

I don't get it. Marxism is a valid theoretical approach to studying and interpreting history and political relations. As a critique of capitalism it has a lot of tools and shouldn't be outright ignored due to the knee-jerk reaction the west has to gommunism.
Its prescriptive power is incredibly lacking as a theoretical approach- what it proposes to do about a situation isn't feasible. However, its descriptive power to critique capitalism and give an explanation for the motives of states and even individuals based on capital and corporate interest makes it something that can and should be taught in schools and the like- so long as the background is provided in a sensible way.
