Being transgender is not going against science. Let me explain. When you see transgender women say "I am a woman." they don't mean they are completely female with ovaries, a uterus, etc. Scientists have different definitions for the words sex, and gender. (Sources 1-3) Sex means what your anatomy is, and gender is the sex that you relate which has shown to be based in biology. It's a better description of human sexuality because your mind has shown to have a sex like your body. When we use the words female, intersex, and male it means someone's sex. He, she, man, women means what their gender is.
Psychologists know gender is not a choice. They even found the exact point when it becomes something we don't choose, which is the ages 3 to 4. They know this so well the leading psychological association published this in the DSM. (Sources 4-10)

But that doesn't mean there isn't actual science that happens. Diagnosis, on one had, can be very inexact, as the Rosenhan article tried to prove. Biologically gender does not exist. There are only male and female people, as determined by whether or not they have an expressed Y chromosome. "Transgender" does exist, it's another name for a real neurological condition called Gender Dysphoria, in which one (possibly more) part of the brain dealing with physical sensation is improperly developed resulting in negative physical sensation associated with the sexually differentiated tissues and anatomy. These physical sensations can be to various degrees relieved by hormone replacement therapy. It is not "having a female brain in a male body" or vice versa, both because many of the sexually differentiated parts of the brain AREN'T inversely differentiated (though some cross over after HRT), and because gender dysphoria manifests as a physical sense of disgust and unease, not as behavioral or emotional patterns of the other sex.
Ultimately, to pretend that gender doesn't refer to sex but still has its own meaning is fallacious. It was simply a polite way of saying "sex", and stripped of that usage it has no meaning. The mind is not male or female or anything else like that. To suggest otherwise is literally playing pretend.

The people involved are harmed in these situations. In the case of transsexuals they are going by what the leading medical, and psychological associations recommend for their mental health, and being gay is capable of being 2 consenting adults having safe sex.
If you don't know, pedophilia harms the child involved because they are not old enough to make the responsible decisions needed for sex. Like driving a car. The adult can also easily overwhelm the child.

Animals are not able to give consent. So it's ridiculous to compar it to two consenting adults that have language to communicate. Animals don't have language like we do to say when to stop, if it's hurting, if they are not in the mood, etc. They may cooperate simply because they think you'll hurt them if they don't. So they are easily taken advantage of. They are not completely your property in the U.S. They can be taken away with animal abuse charges.

That's because psychologists found there isn't a way to change this. You basically would have to do a brain transplant because you'd have to remove all of their loving memories since childhood that they relate with their gender.
