Essentially, Germany had extended an executive order each year in January that no refugee can be returned to Greece (where refugees need to apply for asylum under Dublin rules). But 4 days ago, the German interior ministry did for the first time not extend the order citing marked improvement of the conditions for asylum seekers in Greece.
When will Germany finally deport 85% of the refugees that are in Germany right now to Greece? Because that is possible under Dublin. IT is the best solution for Germany, the EU and refugees, because refugees don't want to stay in Greece, so they just go home to Afghanistan. Iraq, Syria or North Africa. It's not like some dude from Damascus can't just go back there and live a normal life. Damascus is as safe as Detroit or East London.
