I know foreign aid for third world countries doesn't actually help as we're giving our resources for them to be dependant on us and not able to be self-sustainable and also having our resources being used on questionable things, but what do you think of local charity? Is it honourable to help those poorer and lower than you or is it allowing people to leech off of your hardships even if it's voluntary?
I give away 10% of my post-tax income, and much of that goes to small local things. Like for instance the local food bank.
