Alright, in light of the recent shooting, lets discuss what would happen if a total gun ban in the US is enacted. 2nd Amendment is done, all guns, regardless of type, age, etc.. banned. If you have a gun in your possession and you are not police or military, your ass is in prison.
- Confiscation. Possible at all? How many would resist? Would many police refuse?
- Black market for firearms. How quickly does it spring up? Proliferation of homemade firearms?
- Slippery slope. How long/would other amendments suddenly be stricken from the constitution?
Basically, anti-gun folks get their way. What happens?

I teach the Constitution for a living. I revere the document when it is used to further social justice and make our country a more inclusive one. I admire the Founders for establishing a representative democracy that has survived for over two centuries.
But sometimes we just have to acknowledge that the Founders and the Constitution are wrong. This is one of those times. We need to say loud and clear: The Second Amendment must be repealed.
