Hail to the king, baby.
Yes, it's a single sheet of two colored tissue foil.
No, the branches only connect to the opposite one.
Maybe, I still want to design an ornament to go on top, and then figure out how to get a sheet of paper big enough so this model can be worn.
>big enough so this model can be worn.
lol what is the ratio final sive/paper size ? Origami shop sells rolls of metalic wraping paper with a nice gold aspect on one side (the other side is plain white), it's a 50cm*10m roll so maybe that's enough.
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately that would not be big enough. The piece that I used for this was ~40cm, and ended up being slightly smaller than a beer bottle. I might be able to make it work by changing the proportions( this one used a lot of paper for the arches, and the ornament i have in mind will make up for the length change)
Love your work. Thanks for sharing, hope to see the diagram soon!

It can already be worn... by very regal garden gnomes.
I was gonna say to bump another of my threads but if this is the one getting traction fine.
get my full diagrams here:
Crown CP hasn't been created yet. I would just be going off of my memory of a model from three months ago that I haven't folded since. I need the weather to clear up to make tissue foil outdoors, so that I have paper big enough for the design.
Yes. I was trying to keep the other thread with the link to my diagrams alive, but this one seems to be more popular. I'm sorry if that confused anyone.
Would you have preferred that I bump my other thread so that there's two threads about me on an already slow board? Or perhaps you would rather I don't let newcomers to the board know that I have models that they don't have to hunt or steal for, because I'm giving them away for free? I'm sorry for being such an asshole.
This week is projected to be quite warm, so I might be able to make some foil if I hurry. I'm behind on making diagrams as is, and missed out on creating another model (UFO) because I didn't have the materials.
I have ten models you guys can fold as of now, and a Flickr page where you can see most of my designs (including the notorious "shitty dragon").
I also have a model I plan to release around Halloween, since I am abiding by the wishes of a fellow artist who graciously diagrammed it for me and put it in his book.
I didn't intend anything to sound angry.
Here's my Flickr:
I just revamped the seahorse, so that design is a little different
Also I finally made all the paper I need. Should have a CP soon
And what the base looks like finished. I told you guys it was pretty simple
Made a quick model for my sister. She wanted a bunny of sorts, so I made this. She said it looks like a kangaroo. Can't win 'em all.
And here is the edited seahorse, as well as the wire frame for the stand I want to make.
Was looking into making a type of clay to stylize it, either make them look like vines or make them look like seaweed.
Here's the finished stand for the seahorse, made out of cold porcelain and painted with acrylic
Having trouble with my UFO design, took a break and designed this Luxo Lamp
I designed a drone for a challenge this month.
