I didnt format before I went out today - so when I got home I shift deleted all the photos - was shift scrolling with keyboard and then it went to that stupid select all top part and I deleted it.

Any way to get the pictures back?
Google says Recuva - I downloaded it and it is scanning but it has been scanning for 5 minutes now.

>/p/ horror stories I guess

recuva is amateur shitware

folklore has it that the ultimate solution is this little in house software called "Get Data Back" is miles ahead of the other stuff

Does the exact same shit as Recuva's deep scan (the one that takes hours). This is the brute-force method, that goes through each bit in the card, one by one, looking for a file. This is a complete algorithm, which means that it will successfully recover your data if it's still accessible by software.

Which means any other software can be faster, but not better (i.e. it recovers something Recuva can't).

Testdisk has saved me multiple times when I've deleted something I shouldn't have.

You need a comma in there, mate.

Did you "Mistakenly delete photos that I had taken"? or "Delete photos that I had taken by mistake?"

That shit makes me nervous. Sometimes I can avoid thinking about it but ither time traveling means I take some time out and immediately makena backup when I get back to my hotel or copy to phone then send to cloud

Also hate when I slightly miss focused because I was in a rush and didn't double take. Go away thinking the image preview was fine then see it at full res and realize I messed up. Blame myself yes I know
