Hey /p/ I need help, I'd like to get into photography and I'm not sure what camera to purchase. My budget is around $200, any help is much appreciated.
You haven't specified what kind of photography you want to so I will just post this.
Olympus OM-1
50mm 1.8
Lots of cheap film and some silver oxide batteries

$200 budget implies OP can't afford the cost of batteries, film, development, etc. after the initial purchase.
If you want to start doing general photography and don't know what suits you yet, start with a used DSLR and a kit lens.
I first started out on a D70 with the 18-70mm kit lens. That was years back...today you can EASILY buy a D80, lens, batteries, etc. for under $200 USD

**CORRECTION**
I first started serious photography (outside of point-n-shoot and snapshits) on a Sony A3000...but I initially bought that for video.
D70 was the next step since used lenses were cheap and plenty, and since the limitations at the time were perfect to challenge a learning photog such as myself.
Pic related, first photo I took when testing the D70 years back
Well fuck, here I was thinking we had a gear thread for these sort of questions. Saged.
