It's at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall again (where I shot Andrew Bird) Can't rent a 70-200, but I might borrow one from a friend. But I did just get my Rokinon 85mm, which will be much better than only a 50mm, and if I put it on my 50D it'll be 135mm.

So my laptop took a shit on me. I was one of the shmucks that got tricked into going to windows ten over the weekend and for some reason its giving me the black screen of death.
Which is fucking awful because tomorrow I'm finally going to be shooting at my favorite venue (hopefully) and it's for two of my favorite bands (Modern Baseball and Joyce Manor) but I need to clear the data on my card because there is a full set of pictures from a band that I did nothing with. I disagree if you do it right
I can assure you though that 1/500 is not needed for most acts. I shoot most artists at 1/125 and they're frozen in motion unless it's a band that really moves around then I'll bump to 1/250 and still be fine

depends.. Sometimes I rather sharper and noise to get details and also because it's easier to people to like and share the photo (I work with agencies, you can see by the watermarks)
Other times I like to get the motion and colors, them I lower my ISO and shutter speed.
Both manners are nice to shoot
