Nah, quite the opposite. As I was walking past these tradies noticed my camera and asked me to take their photo. Because I had permission I took my time and came up with the most inserting framing I could think of. Lady luck must have been following me around that day :)

To me, street photography isn't about taking the most extreme or ballsy photo. It's about capturing a moment, or subject that resonates with you. For me, that's old people. I understand if you can't dig that, because the best thing about photography is that it's subjective. Also, by making a whole bunch of photos with the same subject you build a large library that works really well together and gives each photo a greater impact.
Man you got to be close to people's faces to fill the frame with a 35mm FL. Do you crop at all?

I don't often crop, only when it serves the composition.
Sometimes I get permission, other times I shoot candidly. I've been yelled at a handful of times and hit twice. More often than not, though, people don't really mind if you take a photo of them. Just make sure you wear a smile and give them a little nod and wave afterwards
