does a 50mm on a 1.6 crop produce the same result as 85mm fool frame?
>>2698860
Almost... the only thing that matters is the distance between you and the subject, so if a 50mm on crop will allow you to frame the subject the same way as 85mm on FF and from the same distance, then for all intents and purposes it will have the same level of compression.

just remember your equivalent depth of field

whats OPs picture mean? sorry not a photographer just curious.
>>2699005
That your distance from your subject is very important when it comes to how they look. When you get too close, they start to look all crazy (Like the last photos at the bottom right) and being further away is generally more flattering.
Unfortunately, the graphic is labeled misleadingly. When you're far away (to make the face look nice) you need a more zoomed in lens to make the person's face look big in the frame, so the graphic is saying that the more zoomed in you are, the less "fisheye" you look.
It's not the lens, however, it's the distance from the camera to the person's face that makes the difference.

15mm is the most fappable, prove me wrong

Not that guy, but he's right.
All the top row pictures make her look hideous.

Protip: She is hideous.

Close=better for fatties
Far=better for others
>>2699416
close is good for asians too
nothing makes an even flatter moon face then long perspective compression.

24-28mm and a myspace angle will hide 2 or 3 chins.

This gif + lsd = vomit
>>2699008
It is the lens, because it's the magnification of the lens that allows you to achieve the tight crop, with that compression, from that distance.
