i can recommend PENTAX. i bought a used 80€ glass for 16€ ...found it at ebay.
pentax use very good prisms and twilight factors for their products.
i use the UCF R 10x21. its very compact. good for spotting, starwars design.

Some people fetishize that junk. Also modern optics are in general both a lot better and a lot cheaper than in the past due to a combination of better technology and offshore slave labor.
