I'd love to get started on it, but would love some advice.
Prices for a decent rig?
If anyone has any good links or video tutorials for very beginners on it, please share. I've tried looking on Google and Youtube but I'm having a hard time finding things that explain everything on it?

Take a class, you won't know what stuff a video left out until you're halfway up.

Go to your local climbing gym and climb. Start chatting with the people inside. Eventually you'll find someone to show you the ropes, literally. You need a climbing partner to belay you, so either way you gotta find someone else to climb with. Might as well go with someone who has the gear and actually knows what they're doing.

Kansas. Closest spot to me is in Kansas City, and even then they don't seem like classes, just a "one and done and give the guy your money" amusement park style thing.

Take an intro course through your local climbing gym, outdoor school, or guides bureau. Rent/borrow gear for the first couple of times and get recommendations on what to buy. Online resources can be useful, but don't even think about attempting anything before seeking qualified instruction.

I you want to learn to climb, you need to go with people who know what they're doing. It's too dangerous otherwise.
First thing you need to to is buy a harness and shoes.
Next, get an ATC, and about 6 screw gates, some runners, and a rope.
