This is "Cajon del Azul" a very good hiking trail in El Bolson. The first stop lead you to this, where you can see the river from above, its like a canyon. You make night in there and the next day you can reach a little glaciar called "Hielo del Azul"

Cool pics OP. I've never been to South America, much less an /out/ region like Patagonia. Well, I went to Aruba once when I was a kid but that doesn't count

well, you should try it. Those last 5 states that ends Argentina its what we call Patagonia, and its like an 80% cold desert, and a 20% of this rocky woods. There is also a region called Patagonia in neighbour country Chile.

Thanks for the trip report, anon. I've always had a fascination with Patagonia and would love to go there. But it's pretty similar to the landscapes I already have in the Pacific Northwest of North America, which makes it a lower priority for travel over more "exotic" locations for myself.

So I don't know if I'll ever make it there in my life.
>>
What are temperatures like in winter?

How friendly are the locals, and how often do oh come across towns/places to find food?

No hunting, I assume?

Did you go to the desert portion?
>>
>>684170
Nice
>>684176
Yeah, from Alaska, Rocky Mountains to Los Andes all the landscapes shares something.
>>684181
I use to live in the north part of Patagonia. Desert, cold in winter (-10 °C) hot in summer (40 °C). In the region were those pics were taken expect a max of 20 °C in summer. You can sleep very well outside with a 4 season sleeping bag. Never been there in winter. It is snowy zone and I use poorfag gear.
People is nice, like in every little town I guess. And we are talking about this woods region in Patagonia. They live from tourism. About the food... What I understand its like you wanna go outside of people sign? Dont do that, you will get lost, people always get lost and its a pain in the ass for everyone. Too many foreigns have died there. Theres plenty of camping zones, most of them are free. Hiking trials. hostels were you can meet local tourist (the coolest people you will meet). In small villages around big tourist centers, like Villa La Angostura, Junin De Los Andes you can hunt big games, some (wild pigs?), and fish. Theres plenty of national park, so better ask with local autorithies.
And last. Yeah, I live in the desert portion all my life. I started hate the constant howling wind and I left for the jungles near amazonas.

>>684199
Got any pictures of the desert area you grew up in?

Got it. I found a pic taken from the tallest building in my hometown. I use to squat there with my punk friends.
Cipolletti, Rio Negro, patagonia Argentina.

>>
>>684281

>>
>>684109

I want to move there eventually.

Is life good for a middle class european?
>>
>>684683
If you can avoid the attention of the drug lords.
>>
¿Que tan caro son los terrenos ahí? ¿De verdad hay narcos?
>>
>>684692

Puedo pasar por argentino pero se me nota el acento castellano.

Busco una vida discreta, probablmenente trabajando online o haciendo cuchillos, aunque tengo cosas valiosas.
>>
>>684707
Si narcos
>>
>>684683
Definitely, Patagonia its full of europeans.
>>684692
In recent years pro-USA conservatives have open the central states to drug lords, but they are away from patagonia. Its more drugs on the streets, but away from big cities life is good. Narcos use Argentina to send drugs to europe. Its not like you see bands killing each others.
>>684707
Cheaper, you can buy a lot of land with access to rivers and hunt fields. Here are drugs, but not narcos. Nothing like Taken, Sicario, Pablo Escobar.
>>684714
>>
>>684753
Can you buy any land there with 10k€? Yeah I'm a poorfag
>>
>>684869
Nope, you need 20k euros at last.

1 U$D=14 pesos
Alquileres 2000-3500 pesos
