It was my first time in the area just yesterday. No running water though, just a couple small stagnant ponds.
This was taken on one of my hikes a couple of months ago near Lake Minnewanka, about 7km west of Devil's Gap

Fuggen noice mi lad. How long were you there and what were your favorite places?
>>629538
Ikr? When I first got up there, no one was there for a good twenty minutes. I just laid in the gravel on one of the knolls overlooking the lake and meditated. One of my most profound and memorable sessions.
>>629540
Where had you hiked?
This picture is somewhere in the Three Oaks township of Berrien County, Michigan.
>>630360
And another one. In an oak savanna in Brookfield, Illinois. An abandoned railroad bridge. Only the deer and myself use it today.
>>630363
Last one I'll post for now.
Some rivermouth on the Pacific Ocean in Costa Rica, just south of the Nicoya Penninsula. This place was fucking PACKED with crocodiles. Huge ones. One motherfucker was called Osama by the locals. 18 feet long and 4.5 feet wide. Also black iguanas, spoonbills, frigate birds, mangrove forests, halloween crabs, caracaras, houses along the river that'd been swept half into the water, all kinds of crazy shit.

I'm going backpacking at San Jacinto in a couple weeks! Climbed the mountain once before, but am going to be doing the stretch of the PCT that runs along it near Idyllwild. Just 31 miles from the park, then back.

Nice, I did some backpack bushwhacking on the west side of the mountain a while back. This was taken by our campsite.

Illinois and Michigan have some of the most pleasant and peaceful /out/ areas I've ever been to.
Perhaps it's cause I grew up in Chicagoland, but I've traveled this big 'ol country all over and this belief still holds.

Yes, if I was to kill myself it would definitely be in an amazing place like that not in my bedroom. Only trouble is if you would want to kill yourself after hiking there.

Laurel Highlands are pretty sweet. Most scenic area of PA IMO. I've had to go to Pittsburgh for work a few times and I always head out that way when I have a free day.
Dat road tho'. Half the little roads out there that are STILL in commission look like that, only without guard rails. And the locals drive like aggressive drunk assholes.
Last week in northern Brandenburg.
>>631924
lol yeah, i grew up a little outside of pittsburgh its a clusterfuck for sure but about 45 minutes outside of the city its beautiful country
Mt. Monadooadoudeadonk

My genuine waterproofing of the legs.
This hike was full of horrible mishaps. My boots sprung leaks, half the trail was completely washed away by the weather, and the other half was swampy.
My hammock broke on the first night, so I was forced to sleep on the ground. (I've since upgraded to a more durable hammock, but I nearly went back to tent after this. I was mad.)
We kept our spirits up though, and I'll never forget it.

I live near that mountain! It's normally a little clearer around here, looks like some of New Mexico's bullshit must have blown north that day.
I'm guessing your picture was taken from near Hovenweep. Here's one I took from that area facing the opposite direction.
