this isnt a private club, but simply an autistic gathering wherein we congregate in person and on this board to discuss autos, drive our cars to the limit and beyond (ask dagumi) and from time to time cobsole each other on personal issues.

There is somebody to get along with at any of these meets because our demographic is so eclectic. We got hipsters, bros, family guys, partyhards, animu and vidya bros, someone of every type in our crew

Ok now we got that out of the way, we need to bring that t shirt back up, a pic was posted in the previous thread. It was looking good but im not opposed to a whataburgerring outline around the come and take it

(Newfags: whataburgerring is a creatively drawn route that is located near montgomery that encompasses 2 high speed forest route runs in a~250 mile round trip, and a nice high speed county road in between those two routes)

More stickers will be made an ill try to have them before the next meet

N E X T M E E T

suggested: a friday day meet where we can run the legendary circuit of the dagumi in livingston
legend has it that dagumi himself has wiped out on this course

we could do the whataburgerring again in full confidence during the daytime, since we have officially been there as a crew.

we could cruise but that seems boring af. Obviously we are in this crew because we DRIVE.

We are always open to suggestions. I am just waiting for the poll guy to show up and do his thing after we have had an adequate amount of discussions

I was gonna op but my shit plus some copypasta was too long

>circuit of the dagumi in livingston

Circuit of the Dagumi is in Brookshire. Even though Livingston is where Dagumi crashed.

I motion to renaming the original, first meet route to Brazos, or Brazzers, to avoid confusion.

Well, it wont be as exciting until there I figure out the best way to duplicate the elevation changes, as it seems there is a lot of that. My guess is that with the track being all the same height at first it will be mostly flat out or nearly flat out until then, as the down hill corners and crests will create braking zones and areas where you will need to lift naturally.

Also, I forgot to mention that I got my GoPro up and working again (it had been damaged, or somehow messed up in a pretty heavy karting accident ages ago). I'm trying to figure out how long the battery will last at 1080p/60fps, I think like 50 minutes, but I cant record for that long since I dont have a big enough SD card. The one I have is only 16GB but I think I need at least a 32-64GB SD card to get high quality video of the entire route. If I do somehow get what I need to film the entire drive, I was going to wear it on the side of my racing helmet for that 1PV bad assery.

Narrowed down my search for cars to the GMC Canyon.

Gonna probably buy it after I'm done with the surgeries since doctors said I'm gonna have severe nerve damage. So I'll just enjoy the money until I can use it.

Went to the doctor this morning, expects that I'd be able to get back on the road late this year or early next year. Until then my mommy is going to have to drive me around.

Kartfag and I have been working on this Waseinburgring track for Assetto Corsa, it's in the early stages and tons of things need to be made to it. It's a nice project to work on and makes you learn a few new things. So far only 20% or so of the track has been done, so we still got a long way to go. Most of the modeling and such is done by Kartfag, so credit goes to him, I'm just here for testing and modifying a few things. It looks like shit right now because we are just working on the layout, to make sure the basics are as accurate as it can be. The proper textures will be added later on, I'm working on a texture that looks as close as the real one. Also, the SC400 in this video is wobbly because that's a mod I'm still working on which hopefully will be done soon. This is a long project and quite a lot of man hours need to be put in, especially for testing. Honestly, it's fun doing this and doesn't really matter if it doesn't get "big", it's mostly just a learning experience for us since we are quite new to this. As for the track, the walls and textures are there just to have a sense of speed or else you will fall off the track and stay in the air for eternity. First we have to get the modeling done, then set the elevation, then add objects, then add textures and finally do testing. At least that's the plan so far. Will keep y'all updated on that.

Also, I can't webm for shit, no idea what I'm doing, so sorry for shit quality. For the full video and better quality check it out on Dropbox, will be in the folder Waseinburgring. Also for those who already have AC, I have uploaded the track files so you can test it yourself. All you have to do is copy the folder and past it into /content/tracks/

All good, and yeah I know that's what its there for. I am going to be part of that group lol.

-----

Also, can I have any volunteers for stitching together some satellite images for the course? I have finished stitching 120 out of 538. These 120 images are stitched into 9 large segments (its unreasonable to try to make them all fit inside the same image). Each of these segments takes about 30 minutes to an hour to complete, and I estimate that I need about 35-45 segments.

So far I have 9 of those segments that have been completed entirely by myself.

However, if everyone would volunteer to stitch like say 10 images together, we could have the entire map stitched together very quickly.

If not, I'll try to do them all myself it will just take a while and be a pain in the ass.

I drove by. Mostly imports, Japanese and German. An E30 that made me feel ashamed of myself. The Houston Supra Club seemed to be in attendance. Also a really clean Mk3 Soup.

It might be fun to go to the strip. They won't let my convertible on the track, but it'll be fun to watch.

Damn, so there were nice cars huh. I wonder how many of those are actually from UH.

Good news everyone!

I've invented (used google to find) a machine (program) that allows me to automatically stitch satellite imagery together and deform it using google maps topology data!

In short, stitching help is no longer required and the problem of elevation changes in the road is no longer a problem. However, I will be restarting my progress on the track in order to make it the best it can possibly be. When I am done with it, you will see that it is far superior that the old one.

The track will not only include accurate elevation/camber data, but will be far more accurate in terms of length and track width as well.

One thing we might consider as well would be to all pitch in and get a truck/van and trailer, nothing crazy, but something we can share to tow our cars home if need be.

Unless we already have a volunteer
>>
>>15357993
Fine by me. So much for /hou/ being about family.
>>
Ignore the calicuck and send me a request on zello to talk about this sc
>>
>>15357996
This is a good idea, rather than buying cars we should gather tools and resources first. Let's make /hou/ into something big and beneficial for us. As individuals we are poorfags but as a collective we are rich. Don't get me wrong about the project cars, that should definitely be a thing but towing, garages and things will be more beneficial as a group.

A couple of good ideas so far, get a garage so people can work on their cars together unless someone wants to share garage space that they already have. Get a towing truck of some kind, there was some talk about AAA and what not, but what if we keep the truck in the garage and anyone can pick it up and use it. There has to be some security implemented that only /hou/ can use it and someone not steal it, but other than that it will be extremely useful. There are many skilled people in /hou/, many who don't even know how to use their talents right. I can see /hou/ become a real big thing soon, our growth is exponential and cooperation between each other is mostly A+, even though most of the time we find it hard to vote for things.

Just a thought.
>>
>>15357831
Lmao three keys will probably cost more than the car.

We can do a three week roation, every saturday give it to tge next guy and we should all have the car at least one week of the month and one person willl have the car twice in a month every three months
>>
>>15358108
i think there are too many crew members with trucks for us to have to pool up money and buy one itd be nice if a crew member could volunteer one for our use from time to time. However pooling up for a trailer would be the shit
>>
>>15358108
>>15358150
I don't know how much money I could pitch in for this, but I could totally donate some tools I have multiples of to a /hou/ community tool box. Hell, if like 10 of us did we would probably have a pretty well-equipped tool box to throw in the team van.

I towed the little truck with the hoe but the brakes didn't like it. Need a trailer with brakes. Also I only have a 3.42:1 gear ratio in it.
>>
>>15358236
>>15358184
I was thinking a Ford econoline with the power stroke if we could find it cheap. They last forever, they're cheap to maintain, we could have a full garage worth of tools, and those things will tow just about anything.

But if somone with a truck set up for towing will volunteer that'll be the cheaper option.

They would be valet keys, not sure if Lexus Toyota has the electronics things inside keys for that gen

Should be fine for everything but trunk and glovebox locks I think
>>
>>15358318
Yeah, power strokes are kind of pricey and the 7.3 especially so since everything after that reliability goes down the drain, but it's an idea.

Worst case scenario we could pick up an old gas van from a church and just strip the rear. Worse fuel economy and less towing capacity, but it'll still do the job.

It will probably be about the same as a Dodge truck of that Era. Which isn't terrible but you have to consider that van looks like it has been sitting for a while. So the fuel system needs to be cleaned out.
>>
>>15358338
Each key will cost you around $235, at least that's the quote I got for my SC. You can't start the car without one, the valet key will let you open things only.

Need two programmed keys but i already had those.

Isnt the point of tge early lexus valet key so that you can lock the remote trunk release, and lock the glove box so the valet can only open the door and start the car? I thought 1998 and up had chipped remote keys
>>
>>15358396

Programing Instructions for Lexus Keyless Remote:

2. Insert key in ignition, DO NOT TURN ON, and remove key.

3. Using drivers side power door lock button, lock and unlock doors 5 times within 40 seconds, ending with doors unlocked.

4. Close drivers door and open it. Again lock and unlock doors 5 times within 40 seconds, ending with doors unlocked.

5. Insert key into ignition and turn from LOCK to ON to LOCK one time. Remove key from ignition.

6. Door locks will cycle one time.

7. Press lock button on transmitter for at least one second. Door locks will cycle.

10. Within 20 seconds, close drivers door and open it and press button on transmtter again for at least one second.

11. Door locks will cycle. Wait 20 seconds and registration will be completed.

>**if it does not work, start over from beginning, it may take several attempts. If it does not work, contact your local dealer.

You're right, I was thinking of a physical copy but instead said valet. With the master key you can choose to lock the valet access to the trunk, but you can't start the car with a physical copy without the chip.

I'll keep you posted then. It'd have to be near or around League City/Friendswood/Pearland. Doctor said I can't drive for the time being, so if someone would volunteer to chauffeur me I'd gladly pay monies.

Going to the doctors today, and I'll ask about activity I'm able to do.

why not both? Lets have a portion of our crew working up emergency services tool procurement and mechanical work

Theyll serve as support for our experimental/project division (the sc400, maybe a rat rod or vip project idk what we want yet) and of course the crew members personal vehicles

I mean we already have 3 ppl on the sc400 so we arent going to have a problem with project vehicle acquisition,i believe theres always going to be an interest in cobuying and co-modding cl fixer uppers

Just finished getting back to where I was before the epiphany and more. I have the first 18 miles modelled and textured with a rough version of the elevation changes, however I left out any fine tuning and cambering until later when I finish the rest of the track.

Heres a screenshot of what yall have to look forward to as soon as SC stops being a cuck and puts it into the AC editor lol

Soooo... I already see one problem with the model and I think its kinda easy to fix, but I've been working on this for like six hours today and I dont feel like doing any more right now. Its a small problem though, should be able to drive around it.. I think. The track is off camber about halfway through for some reason but I think it should be fine. I dont want to fuck with it since all the solid bits are gonna be remodelled anyways when I finish mapping the rest of the track.
>>
>>15359249
The real world road is off camber i believe just due to earth moving equipment limitations i think

>>15359135
So every morning I'm up, 'cause I can't let them down.

>>15359285
I have all of the camber data in the terrain topology as you can see in my screenshot but I think this doesnt match it very well, idk its not a big deal anyways but it just looks weird. I'll wait and see what SC says about it when he drives it.
