I don't understand any of this or its relevance

The SXSW interactive festival is one of the biggest annual industry conferences. This year several prominent SJW bloggers, activists, and twitter personalities wanted to have their own panel to discuss online bullying and harassment and publicized it heavily amongst themselves months in advance. Now they finally just had it and only somewhere between 5 and 10 people attended to hear the speakers and ask questions.

>The SXSW interactive festival is one of the biggest annual industry conferences.
Hiro and moot met each other back at the 2011 SXSW,
>>
>>28896
Don't forget one of them was a guy there to see how shit it was, and some sjw behind them kept looking over on their phone so he tweeted he was going to look up gamergate shit to scare her.

She then tweeted about how a guy in front of her at the panel was looking up gamergate stuff. I don't have the picture but this is a text board anyway.
>>
This isn't news
>>
>>28904
We now return you to your regular Donald Trump and /pol/ racebait threads.
>>
>>28913
Trump is dominating regular news too
>>
Not content with just being "harassed" they began to claim they were "double harassed" because they were women or "triple dog harassed" because they were women of color and that men were always behind anon harassment because they are rubber and you are glue. In conclusion, the "I know you are an abuser but what am I" panel ended with a lecture on how to run and tell mommy.

If you find it, PM me an imgur link.
>>
>>28913
I like them! Think we'll ever get a dual Donald Trump & racebait thread on /news/?!?
>>
>>28902
I saw this the other day, and I don't think it was this event. Still funny though

>Encyclopedia Dramatica article, Breitbart, other ridiculous shit

Good grief. I didn't know we were dealing with a celebrity.
>>
>shocked that conservatives hate them for being left wing and don't show support

>shocked that liberals abandoned them because they turned into a hate movement rather than a movement based on equality and uplifting everyone rather than dragging everyone else down

This is rich.

>it'll be huge! everyone believes in our cause and young people are really involved

I would have gone if Zoey was there and asked here why, if she was such a proud feminist that she would degrade herself by engaging in pornographic endeavours. Don't they know that these poor porn stars are oppressed? Where is the justice?
>>
>>28982
Not that anyone should be surprised by that
>>
>>28897
That panel was boring as fuck but there were still 10x as many people there.

>>
>>28947
Thats up to you.
>>
>>28985
They would claim porn is empowering women because of how much money they make while whoring themselves out
>>
Everything is "harassment" to them. Absolutely everything. Late pizza? You better bet the cis sexist delivery man was on a crusade to bully the poor rich white girl.
>>

Even if he's a fisher, it take it.

>Have you ever thought about why?
Here is what I think.

According to the victimization theorie by Meier/Mieth, humans tend to build institutions to help them resolve conflicts. Be it a fighting arena, norms for duels, religion or a state.

Problem is, the more institutions and norms you have, the more institutions and norms you will need to resolve conflicts.

So as the humans are, they have build a hell of a lot of those conf. res. ints., took em down again, builded new ones...etc

Lets jump into today.
According to both authors, at least in the west, we live today in an over regularisated society, where it is in fact more rational to use the build in institutions for conf. res., as relying on ancient methods, like fighting and insulting, because you will probably have you live ruined if you don't act according to the rules.

I would even add logical argumentations to that list, but never mind.

So here my conclusion:
Imagine, you were born around 1985 and lived in the golden '90s, being told, that you should be nice and follow Gandhis exemple, watching COPS and seeing how the legal system goes about the bad boys.
Some of us became police officers, others went to college to become lawyers, social scientists and so on.

While being in the accademy/college comfy zone, litteraly the world has a second 1929 and worse. Economic armaggedon, more hot wars, old ideologies trying to compete against the old ones.

And you are seeing this, thinking about COPS. Wouldn't you try to be like the cool guys in COPS and fight back the bad boys.

But how, you have learned that you should use institutions for conf. res., but at the same time you see those institutions crumbel under the impact of being challenged by old and new diffrent conf. res. strategies.
What do now? I think you have gotten my point.

And that's how in my book SJWs where born.
I would like to hear your opinion on my thaughts, mayn nay fraynd.

>continuation

And to the |po| flaming. As an Ex-"Beat-up-all-minorities" officer, I need to say, that all that hate, rage, bait and shilling on that board, getting involved in it and learning the structure behind it, has shoved the redpill so far up my ass, I actually turned blue pill.

>Janitors please do your job.
>>
>>29110

>janitors
>doing their job
>on /pol/

Are you fucking high?
>>
>>28887
>Ballpit
Wait, why do they have the infamous dashcon ballpit?

>>29123
They're still right about how the Universe should be run tho...
>>
>>29121

No, KEK be with us, I hope that moots promise, regarding /pol still stands with our great sempai Hirohito.

I was reffering to this thread, which has all the qualities of a usual "|po|ack broke out of containment thread". Even this conversation.

And according to https://www.4chan.org/rules, this should be a pollike bait free board, look at the colour.

So no, Iam not high, just snipping out of the fisher/fish game regarding the post you have quoted and trying to expand my horizon with anons from around the world in one of the last bastions of nearly total free speech.

So if you don't mind, I will not answer anymore to any one liners or bad traya imposters and point you to >>>/pol/ where you can jew around.

But I would really appreciate it personally, if you check out the link I posted and to lurk more.

t. No fisher

P.S: An if you like to become a real fisherman, quit /pol/ and join >>>/b/, that's where wizards go to have fun.

If you want to avoid online harassment so bad, why not just use the block feature on pretty much every social network and stop talking about the harassers?

There, problem solved
>>
>>29127

Because it's easy as fuck for people to circumvent a block via sockpuppetry.
>>
>>29126

...are you fucking high, fucking stupid, or both?
>>
>>29138
Sockpuppetry already violates a rule, so there's reporting
>>
>>29142

And? You say that like harassers are going to play by the rules.
>>
>>29143

>>>/pol/ has a sticky, you really should read it.

>And?
Really bad to quore

>>
>>29145

Holy shit are you actually fucking retarded?
>>
>>29143
They won't get punished unless you report their profiles, tweets, etc.
>>
>>29154

>punished

Oh noes, they'll have to [loud, audible gasp] make another account! Such a fucking horrible punishment! Surely that'll make them rethink their entire lives!
>>
>>29157
I'm sure their IP would be logged and blacklisted, along with blacklisting their email

>But they can make another email!
They're going to run out of possible emails after a while
>But proxies
Eventually they'll get bored

There, harassment problem solved, no need to blanket punishment on people who use certain memes
>>
>>29161

>I'm sure their IP would be logged and blacklisted

If that were the case, harassment wouldn't even be that much of an issue on Twitter. But it is. So they likely don't.

>Eventually they'll get bored

Someone intent on harassing another person likely won't get bored that easily. Look at GamerGate.
>>
>>29164
>GG is mentioned
Oh boy, here we fucking go...
>>
>>28896
That's pretty funny
Kind of like how they only seem like they're a big deal because they just yell really loud

Probably baiting us. Leave it be.
>>
>>29232
This is *NOT* clickbait, it's a report about a newsworthy event that isn't a commonplace occurrence. I don't think you know what that word 'clickbait' means if you think this story was that.
>>
>>28878
Maybe people actually give even less of a shit about feminism or sjw shit than they realise and that the only place they get lavished on (tumblr) has spoiled their expectations of entitlement?
>>
>>28878

Makes sense to me. They demanded more security because they were scared of junior high school boys messaging them empty threats on Facebook and Twitter. So to keep them safe from this imaginary menace the organisers treated them like they had actually been threatened by someone that was a real threat, separating them from the public at large and making it difficult to get access to them. Is it any wonder that men didn't want to go through the trouble of multiple security checks to attend an offsite panel of delusional, oversensitive, and angry women femsplaining to them how men are the root problem?
>>
>>29341
>femsplaining
Do we have to do this?
>>
>>29157
Oh no, you have to ignore posts you don't like. How horrible.
>>
>>29365
It's become so mundane it's like autopilot. Unless you're in a trolling mood.
>>
>>29353

Why not?
>>
What constitutes online abuse?
>>
>>29404
It's just so cringeworthy. Taking feminist buzzwords and turning them on feminists that is.
>>
>>28878
From the article:

>SXSW canceled a panel called "Level Up: Overcoming Harassment in Gaming" in October after it received "numerous threats of on-site violence."

When did the gaming community turn into ISIS? Kek these people are so full of shit.
>>
>>29595
Saying something mean to a thin-skinned faggot on the internet.
>>
>>28887
Oh I am laughing
this is just as good as Jeb Bush's watching party
>>
>>29341
i cant believe they are actually surprised that only hardcore feminist shills attend these meetings.
>>
>>29404
Why sink to their level?
>>
>>29404
>>29353

i usually go with femplaining, as in complaining. Cause bitches always be complaining.
