Humanity is literally the kindest creature that lives on Earth. You think that monkey cares about you? That horse? Any other creature, if it had the same power that humanity does, would do the same thing, over hunting, not caring for the environment. But they would also do the kind things. Look at groups of humans that fight to protect each other, other humans, the environment, other animals. Other creatures can't be cruel like we can, but they can't be kind either.

Our technology has cut the amount of needs and the difficulty in soothing them.
There may be war, but all war is fought because the people in power believe that they are doing what is right for their people. Hitler sincerely believed that Jews were responsible for his people's hardships, you must realize. All that will come of humanity in the end is good.
