http://www.mediaite.com/online/fox-news-responds-to-trumps-latest-twitter-poll-with-first-rate-trolling/

Donald is skipping the final debate before the Iowa caucus. Recently, Trump has been polling ahead of Ted and some commentators think he is trying to miss the debate to avoid going head to head with Cruz.

My opinion is that Trump is worried he will not win Iowa because if that happens it will shatter his aura of invincibly, and significantly slow his momentum going forward. He has presented himself above everything else as a winner, if he can not win then his other claims become suspect.

Ted also offered to go one-on-one with Trump with Mark Levin as the moderator.. Which we won't see and was a good taunt by Ted. I wouldn't be surprised if Cruz started to climb in the polls because of all of this.

Both are awful people.

I don't really follow the reasoning behind why he's not participating. She isn't fair? If she isn't fair there'll be backlash. He shouldn't have anything to worry about. He's childish.
>>
>>19676
He claims that Megyn is unfair toward him, but its probably just a smokescreen he can use so he doesn't have to get hit by Ted's ammunition
>>
it is reasonable for him to complain... they had it out in the wake of the last fox debate and for her to be anchoring this one seems unfair... that said, he accused her of being on the rag so no sympathy that way either.

>My opinion is that Trump is worried he will not win Iowa because if that happens it will shatter his aura of invincibly, and significantly slow his momentum going forward. He has presented himself above everything else as a winner, if he can not win then his other claims become suspect.

This is just what the morons in the news have been saying.

Trump isn't winning now because "he's a winner!", he's winning because he's literally the last hope of all his supporters to save their piece of America. He could come in last in Iowa and still not take a hit to his poll numbers.

Also, this is basically genius on Trump's part for several reasons:

1) By ditching the debate to do his own thing, he's not only getting even more media coverage, but he's getting coverage for his event to raise money for wounded veterans while meeting with actual Iowa voters. If you have to choose between what will surely be the most highly publicized Iowa rally in history, and some debate where everyone has knives out for you, then guess which one is the smart pick.

2) It's yet another body blow to the media that nobody likes, but most importantly, it's a direct hit on Fox News, which is not popular outside of the conservative circle, so he scores major points with left leaning independents and Democrats.

3) The news cycle for the foreseeable future will be all about Trump, and not about the literally whos that show up to the debate, retaining the fog around his competition while he gets all the coverage.

He's going to not only win Iowa at this rate, but every state that follows.

I blame Reince Priebus for never truly getting behind Trump as front runner.
>>
>>19676
I think it has more to do with strategy on his part. It's super risky, but if he pulls it off, viewers will be swayed with his growing popularity and altogether skip this debate creating a greater perceived consensus that he is the frontrunner. If it doesn't work, then he gives someone like Cruz a shot at convincing Fox viewers that he should be the candidate.

conflict of interest

Mark Levin has distanced himself from his kid stating "he's his own man, he can make his own decisions"

Mark Levin's son working for Ted Cruz may have something to do with Mark's general philosophy but over all Mark never pressured him to working Senator Cruz's campaign.

Yeah if she isn't fair it should come from someone else declaring her not fair, not by Trump. Not liking a question is not the same as being not fair. She is becoming a huge star as a result of Trump's tantrum, so his strategy has in a sense already failed f he wished to hurt her career by forcing FOX to remove her as a debate moderator.
>>
Megan Kelly hates Trump and does not try and hide it. I switch from Fox to CNN when her show comes on. CNN is fair and balanced compared to this pretend to be pretty face at FOX.
Trump is doing the right thing here and it will help him with millions of mindless drones who have never watched FOX news but hate it.
>>
What if I were to tell you that the elections have been engineered. Trump isn't going to win. Trump is only running so you feel good about whoever that actually wins. It's all a mind game, folks.
>>
>>19710

You'd be demented if you thought there was anything Trump could do at this point to win points with anyone from the pragmatic conservative right all the way through to the far left.

Trump has won the plebeian nutcase right through sheer force of insanity, but there is nowhere to go with the mind-numbingly retarded public image he has built for himself now.

Did anyone see that outlier poll that had Jeb in 2nd place in NH?

I think at the convention it's going to come down to a 2nd or 3rd ballot, and Reince is going to push in his boy Jeb at the last minute.
>>
Literally who fucking cares? There is only a few days till the first caucus and Trump cannot do anything to significantly damage the polls save for having sex with a goat on 5th avenue and even then I'm not sure if it would matter.

He skipped the debate because he doesn't care, it's not a strategical move, he just doesn't have to go to it. He probably wants to sleep in and watch porn.

A Trump candidacy means a Hillary presidency.
>>

>An Hillary candidacy means a Hillary presidency

Fixed that for you. When the first rumors of her running started I knew she was going to win. It's exactly the right day and age for her, with the feminist movement peaking. Also still too many Obama fans that see her as a continuation of his work.
>>
>>19827
Hilary or Donald?

Both equal shit on a stick without the stick.

If this is the best the two party system has to offer its time for a real 3rd party.

Fucking sad day for the USA
>>
>>19828
FPTP literally cannot have a third party.
The only way to change it is a reform.
>>
>>19830
Which party would have incentive to reform it? It seems neither the Republicans nor Democrats would.
>>
>>19831
Neither would have any incentive.
That's why it never comes up.
>>
>>19679
What ammunition would that be?!
>>
All of the shallow & politically-interested casuals will see Trump not there and think he's no longer in the race. They leave him both in polls and on election day. 2nd placers rise. Missing the debate was a bad move for Trump.
>>
>>19840
You can bet that Cruz had some talking points whipped up to hit Trump with.. He'll still use them, but if Trump isn't there then he'll be able to counter them in his own way, without a time limit.

I was listening to Rush and he was saying that before Trump announced he was skipping the debate, FOX was selling ads at 750k a minute and afterwards it dropped to 150k a minute. If Trump can affect the ratings that heavily, then it means less eyes seeing Ted's criticism of him.
>>
>>19710
That's being very optimistic though.
>>
>>19823
>>19827
Hillary Clinton can literally never in a million years win the Presidency unless you send her up against an idiot like Jeb, and thankfully both Democrats and Republicans alike were equally pissed off at the prospect of dueling shit sandwiches, which is why you've got Trump and Sanders currently.

Hillary will never EVER see the white house again, unless it's to go beg Obama to get the FBI off her back.

>feminist movement peaking
Oh that slaps me on the knee. You're at least half a decade late on that, and now feminism is quickly moving into the shit heap of public opinion.
>>
>>19828
>If this is the best the two party system has to offer its time for a real 3rd party.
Yeah hi, that's Trump.

He's running a 3rd party platform within the Republican party as a hostile takeover of the base and the electorate.
