They're alright, but they peaked with their debut EP, and are on a steadily decreasing slope in terms of quality.
I didn't like Currents all that much
Tame Impala are fantastic, not even memeing.
Innerspeaker is their best in my opinion.
I love Currents too but it is wayyy more poppy than everything else Kevin's made so if you're expecting psych-rock you'll probably hate it
