It's enjoyable enough an album and I'll listen to it a bunch more in the summer I'm sure, but holy shit there are too many features.
SILY was so unique and playful a record that went through so many interests changes and had this bizarrely nostalgic and dreamlike flow, and like half of this goddamn record is straight up normal beats with guest vocalists who just spit verses like they would their own records, ruining any cohesive flow or 'Avalanches' feel.

I know how it must've gone though hey - so many people across the board loved SILY and wanted to work with these reclusive weird Melbourne guys who came out of nowhere to make it, and then they couldn't say no. A bunch of international artists they love came to them and wanted to work with them and they were previously just unknown kids from the 'burbs and so hype so they said yes to too many people

I wasn't into it at first. But when I returned to the album, I found it really fun to listen to just like SILY. I love Frankie Sinatra, the whole album is lighthearted and hilarious and it really feels like a proper sequel to SILY to me. I have no problem with the features; actually they make the album way more enjoyable.
Since I Left You is a joke album, and i mean that in a good way; the avalanches were always pot-smoking memers. I don't get how people who love SILY are hating on wildflower and acting like SILY was serious business.
