he got bored of being faster less polished Strokes. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the next one is quite good, siince the last 2 whilst being fairly mediocre were very different sounding, maybe he'll go into another style and not make half the album filler.

I hope they re-explore their older sound. Yeah it was nothing that The Strokes and The Libertines hadn't already done, but at least there was an energy and wit about their music. Now they just put out dull, coked up, self indulgent shit.
