Why do people have to grow out of genres? It seems like you just dont like that particular style of music

sometimes i grow out of loveless and shoegaze music in general, but it always grabs me back. something about it is just so intoxicating.

I grew out of Loveless (and most of the more straightforward generic shoegaze) a while ago, but I'm still really into more experimental shoegaze and textured guitar. Loveless was more of a stepping stone to get to this point
>growing out of shoegaze
As long as I am into music I will be into shoegaze.
I've been hooked on Loveless for 3 years. How do I quit?

I've been on /mu/ for about two years and listened to over 800 albums in that time. Picked up Loveless last week. It's okay.
>being "too good" for loveless
You hipster pieces of trash sicken me.
