Flying saucer attack is amazing. Pic related is one of the best albums i've ever heard. It's a perfect fusion of space rock and shoegaze.
>>66367068
Agreed. More post-rock/shoegaze out there? The post-hiatus GY!BE albums could almost fit that description
>>66367852
good to see some love for FSA... never see them mentioned here
>>66367906
there's actually tons of post rock/shoegaze these days if you know how to search for it. Certain blogs like shoegazeralive9 and spacerockmountain share that kind of stuff sometimes, and there's a lot of post rock bands on bandcamp that incorporate shoegaze elements.

I probably have to go with Whirr. Too many feels listening to Distressor and Pipe Dreams during one summer a few years back.
>>66368206
Thanks for telling me about this, I'll check it out
>>66368260
No problem. I can't really get into post rock in general, although I thought that kairon irse album was pretty sick.

I love this album but I wouldn't really consider it post-rock
What's some depressing dream pop? Yes I know the genre is seeped in melancholy as a whole but I want music for "I feel like a pathetic piece of shit"
>>66368750
Half String - A Fascination With Heights is pretty good shoegaze for that feel.
If you want dreampop specifically I woyuld have to say listen to fucking Grouper lol. Pretty morose. But if it's possible to overdo it on the reverb she manages beautifully on Dead Deer
>>66368206
Distressor and around are great. I wish they would have experimented like that on sway
>>66367186

Fucking amazing band, definitely the best dream pop shoegaze band of the decade and the only shoegaze band doing something different.
Best shoegaze/dream pop band of the decade. This album is more transcendental island dreamgaze but it's the most original album in this genre of the last ten years.
