ha, i was unaware of this.
before downloading music was a thing i tried various artists i heard were good. two of them being in flames and soilwork. "i-is this what heavy metal is supposed to be, senpai?"
but of course something was wrong. it eluded me for a long time, but then i discovered judas priest and got back on track to good music again.
i have to admit i occasionally hear a soilwork song and think "that's kinda good", but then i listen to the lyrics and get weirded out. and by that time the music has stopped being good. i'm okay with early in flames, quality wise, because i just think that type of singing clashes with "melodic metal". i chalk that shit up to personal taste.
i wish i could persuade people how truly bad in flames/soilwork and other bands are, but they'll never listen.

Tbh it was a festival with multiple stages with acts such as Wiz Khalifa and Prodigy, so I didn't even mind it.
Though they were a bit cunty and refused to take a quick pic with us in the backstage and instead insisted on us to meet them at the actual meet and greet like 5 hours later. Kinda disappointed but show was still GOAT, he killed it with the vocals.
Their new drummer is a manlet who was born in 1994 so that was kinda weird. Pretty tight player though, kid is enthusiastic as fuck compared to Erlandsson.
