too pop, too mainstream and accessible, too clean sounding
Snakeskin was so hype but the rest of the album was really meandering

Duplex Planet is beautifully sad.
I'd say it's not as good as Halcyon Digest but I'm a big fag for deerhunter so I think it's pretty good
not bad but not really great either

Gets better with more listens. Sounds fucking great live, especially Breaker.
Still not on the level of Microcastle/Halcyon/Cryptograms, but not a bad album by any means.
