I can't believe that I finally got to listen to the long awaited 2nd LP from The Avalanches, and instead of amazing sample based music it was rappers awkwardly shouting over misplaced music for an hour.

When I listened to the leak, I just put aside my feelings on SILY, and listened to it like it was just another album. It's fun and there's some really good songs on here. The other two non-Frankie singles are great, and Noisey Eater made me laugh the first time I heard it. It's not horrible.

But I'll tell you about my feelings anon. I have depressive periods but I wouldn't say I'm depressed because it always passes. I know people who assume I'm depressed. I don't really know. There's no way to objectively compare one persons mental state to another's. Rarely things get so hard to deal with that I lose the will to go on. It sucks and it passes. From the conversations I've had with friends it seems like all this is pretty normal. Despite all that I'm a pretty cheery person most of the time and I love life more than anything else.
Anyway, hopefully that gives you some insight into why I like SILY better than Wildflower ;-)
