I love that album. Chuck is better though.
All Killer No Filler is a really fun album. IMO it was sort of the last major pop punk album before the genre degenerated into shitty boy bands with guitars (Simple Plan, post-sell out Yellowcard, Panic! At the Disco). Whether people like it or not, this is a perfect continuation of the pop punk done by bands that preceded them (Descendents, Screeching Weasel, Jawbreaker, Pennywise, NOFX, ALL, Down By Law, The Ergs, early Green Day, early blink-182, The Get Up Kids, etc.)
Yeah, it's a little too polished in the actual production, but if anything that just emphasizes how perfectly they capture that aimless, goofy sense of nihilism that exists so strongly among teenagers in middle-of-nowhere towns across North America. Fat Lip is a great single, though my favorite song is easily Never Wake Up.
Unfortunately, I don't like anything they did after this album... but I give them kudos for staying a hard rock band instead of becoming another wimpy scene kid band.

I actually prefer Sum 41's later stuff to some extent.
Does This Look Infected? was basically a hardcore album released by a major label pop punk band and for that I give them so much credit. Underclass Hero was kind of shit though, they sounded way too much like My Chemical Romance wannabes on that one.

Well YC and P!ATD had sounds that were completely unique. I agree that simple plan is watered down punk alt trash, but A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and Ocean Avenue have such unique musicality with punk roots that I just can't personally deny them being great albums.
