Deephouse.
A pleb genre or full of hidden patrician gems?
What's you opinion on that one?
>>
Can people here convince me that the multiple genres of house mean anything?

They all sound incredibly similar.

What the fuck makes deep house "deep"?

it's a brilliant genre ruined by mainstream attention labeling anything that has soft vocals and melodic bass deephouse. there are still plenty of brilliant tunes coming through though. examples of some i've enjoyed recently. some old, some new:

Well how I experienced it, deep house is something that "gets under your skin" and "gets in your mind" or at least tries it.
Why I personally like about it is, that real deep house got this eerie atmosphere to it.
Like in this song for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LhLvhLFoHk
Unfortunately there aren't that many tracks out there who really get to you.
That's why I made this thread, to trick you people into showing me some good deep house tracks.

What the fuck makes anything but rock "different"?

Dude if you got more, please post it. It seems that, except for a few tracks, I listened to shitty deephouse for the last few months.
Let me share some of my favorites:

Also if you got some songs that, as I mentioned earlier, get under your skin and drill in your mind I would be grateful if you could share, because that's the deep house I dig the most.

man that track Time is a fucking beautiful little thing thank you

Lane 8 has a pretty lovely sound to him with deep / real progressive house. suggest you listen to his album Rise and pretty much anything he release from 2014, most of his best tracks (inc. Without You) were released then.

I don't know much more truly deep house tracks, but here are some more club/progressive house tracks with lots of deep elements in them

d'you mean get under your skin in a bass feeling way like techno/tech house or an emotional way like you would see in trance?
